  • Publication number: 20240085446
Abstract: An automated analyzer that receives samples prepared for analysis in an automated pre-analytical module and a method of operation of such automated analyzer. The automated analyzer includes a shuttle transfer station that receives a shuttle carrier from the automated pre-analytical system. The shuttle transfer station has a clamping assembly for the shuttle. The clamping assembly has jaws that advance engagement members into contact with a bottom portion of sample containers disposed in the shuttle. The clamping assembly secures the sample containers in the shuttle when sample is aspirated from the sample containers. The automated analyzer also has a multichannel puncture tool that is adapted to be carried by a robotic gripper mechanism. The multichannel puncture tool has multiple puncture members that each defines a channel Each channel is in communication with a different trough in the consumable. A pipette can pass through the channel in the puncture tool.

  • Patent number: 10117462
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a personal electronic vaporizer configured to receive a selected oven assembly and heat the medium therein in accordance with a heating profile associate with the selected oven assembly. The personal electronic vaporizer may define a pathway entirely surrounded by a material. The material is preferably an inert material such as glass or a material otherwise desirable to channel the vapors emitted by the heated medium to the user. The user may swap or select a different oven assembly associated with a different heating profile. The first oven assembly is thereafter removed from the personal electronic vaporizer and replaced with the newly selected oven assembly. The personal electronic vaporizer may automatically recognize the particular selected oven assembly and heat the substance therein according to a predefined heating profile associate with the oven assembly.

  • Publication number: 20170354186
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an oven assembly configured for use with a personal electronic vaporizer. Some versions of the oven assembly may include features such as a base, an outer wall extending from the base, a first chamber defined by the outer wall and the base, an oven element disposed in the first chamber, a second chamber defined by the oven element, and at least one opening defined by the oven element. Some versions of oven assembly may be configured to pass heated air therethrough. Some versions of oven assembly may include features such as a heating element disposed in the chamber and configured to be electrically coupled with the vaporizer when the oven assembly is disposed in an oven receiving area of the vaporizer. The heating element may be configured to heat air within the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20170303587
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an oven assembly for use with a personal electronic vaporizer configured to receive the oven assembly and heat a medium therein. The oven assembly may include a cup for use in heating the medium. The cup may define a pocket therein with a shaft extending into the pocket from a base plate. The shaft defines a shaft channel extending from the exterior of the cup to the pocket. As air is drawn through the personal electronic vaporizer, the air travels around the exterior of the cup and into the shaft channel to enter the pocket. The medium disposed therein is heated and vaporized and carried along to the user in the stream of air after it leaves the pocket.
