  • Patent number: 11863378
Abstract: Techniques for automating the provisioning, configuring, and onboarding of network devices into a cloud management platform. The cloud management platform can be used to manage network devices that are provisioned in on-premise environments, cloud environments, and/or hybrid environments. However, it can be a cumbersome and error-prone process for a user to manually configure each of the network devices with connectivity settings needed to be managed by the cloud management platform. The techniques described herein provide an automated process to distribute connectivity information to the network devices to allow them to be managed by the cloud management platform. Once connected to the cloud management platform, the techniques described herein further include automating the process for attaching the network devices with the appropriate user account registered with the cloud management platform.

  • Patent number: 9749174
Abstract: A system and method for dynamically allocating cloud resources includes receiving an application data request from a user and routing the request to a specific cluster of servers. Each application has a record in a database that contains a unique token along with subscriber information. Application requests to the service provider backend, are routed by DNS using an API endpoint name and originating geographic location to appropriate server clusters. When the request reaches the cluster, the load balancer extracts the application token from the URL, looks up the record in the database, and finds the subscriber plan and identity the application is associated with. A load balancer routes the data request to a specific cluster based upon the subscriber plan and identity. The clusters can have different processing speeds and features based upon the subscriber plan with premium plans having better performance than lower end plans.

  • Patent number: 7536693
Abstract: Incoming requests to a data storage system are distributed among one or more peer node computer systems of the data storage system in accordance with a load spreading configuration. A hash value is computed from the request utilizing selected header information of the request. The hash value is utilized in selecting a peer node computer system to receive the request in accordance with the load spreading configuration, and the request is redirected to the selected peer node computer system. In one embodiment, the load spreading configuration is implemented at a layer 2 switch and the load spreading configuration is reconfigurable by a peer node computer system of the data storage system.
