  • Publication number: 20200283146
Abstract: Vehicles such as unmanned air vehicles that are capable of movement from an open, flight configuration to an enclosed configuration in which all major flight components can be protected by an outer shell are disclosed. In the enclosed configuration, the vehicles can take on standard geometric shapes such as a rectangular prism, sphere, cylinder, or another shape, so as to not be recognizable as an unmanned air vehicle. Embodiments of vehicles can also include interchangeable and/or wireless motor arms, motor arms which are electrically connected to the remainder of the vehicle only when in an open configuration, remote controllers removably attached to the remainder of the vehicle, and clip or other attachment mechanisms for attachment to objects such as backpacks.

  • Patent number: 10737774
Abstract: Various embodiments of an unmanned aerial vehicle are disclosed. In some embodiments, the UAV includes a motor assembly rotatable about a rotation axis and a propeller hub assembly removably engageable with the motor assembly. The propeller hub assembly includes a retainer configured and dimensioned for engagement with the motor assembly such that rotation of the motor assembly causes corresponding rotation of the propeller hub assembly. The retainer includes a pair of deflectable arms resiliently repositionable between a first position and a second position, for engagement and disengagement with the motor assembly, respectively. The arms are movable inwardly towards the rotation axis from the first position to the second position upon application of an external force and movable outwardly away from the rotation axis from the second position to the first position upon removal of the external force.

  • Publication number: 20190296992
Abstract: The disclosed technology offers methods of updating a data cube of samples and a display on a client device with a processor. The method provides GUI clients to computer devices; receives initial reports of sample values organized by sampled computing device and sampled aspect of operations, and identified by group membership and super-group membership; receives, from the devices, samples that update reports of sampled aspects of operations; and pushes updated reports to the GUI clients. The GUI clients calculate and update group and super-group aggregate operational status; and display a hierarchical representation of the aggregate operational status of the super-groups and groups and of the operational status of the computing devices, based on the sample values, in real or near real time, as received samples reach the clients. The operator viewing the display of the hierarchical representation is notified of operational aspects that require close monitoring or immediate remedial attention.

  • Patent number: 10291732
Abstract: In an environment where a plurality of data platforms are communicatively coupled via a communication network, two of more of the platforms may be configured to share asset-related information. For example, a first platform may receive asset-related data and determine that a portion of the received data should be pushed to another platform that is communicatively coupled to the first platform via the communication network. Based on that determination, the first platform may prepare a portion of the received data to be transmitted to another platform and then push the portion of the data to another platform over a network connection.

  • Patent number: 10291733
Abstract: In an environment where a plurality of data platforms are communicatively coupled via a communication network, one platform in the environment may govern whether other platforms in the environment are permitted to participate in the sharing of asset-related information. For example, a first platform may receive, from a second platform (e.g., a master or seed platform) that is communicatively coupled to the first platform via the communication network, criteria that governs whether the first platform is permitted to share asset-related data with one or more other platforms in the network. In turn, the first platform may assess the reliability of the platform's stored asset-related data and then apply the criteria to the assessed reliability to determine whether the first platform is permitted to share asset-related data with the one or more other platforms and then operate in accordance with that determination.

  • Patent number: 10025653
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a computer architecture and software that is configured to modify data intake operation at an asset-monitoring system based on a predictive model. In accordance with the present disclosure, the asset-monitoring system may execute a predictive model that outputs an indicator of whether at least one event from a group of events (e.g., a failure event) is likely to occur at a given asset within a given period of time in the future. Based on the output of this predictive model, the asset-monitoring system may modify one or more operating parameters for ingesting data from the given asset, such as a storage location for the ingested data, a set of data variables from the asset that are ingested, and/or a rate at which data from the asset is ingested.
