  • Patent number: 5007401
Abstract: The invention concerns a magnetic valve controlled fuel injection device for internal combustion engines, in which a fuel pump is driven by a drive element from the cylinder head camshaft and is located separately from a fuel nozzle and connected thereto by a relatively short exposed injection pipe; and wherein the fuel pump or nozzle forms a structural unit jointly with the magnetic valve, which controls the beginning and end of pumping as a function of operating parameters of the internal combustion engine; and wherein this unit is secured to the cylinder head in such a way that at least one casing part of the aid pump, facing away from the drive element, and the magnetic valve are located outside the space enclosed by the cylinder head and the cylinder head cover.

  • Patent number: 4754738
Abstract: A pressure oil supply arrangement for a hydraulically actuated timing device cooperating with an injection pump for the control of the injection start in multi-cylinder, air-compressing injection internal combustion engines, with an electromagnetic control unit for the control of the pressure oil inlet or return in a feed line in communication with the timing device; the electromagnetic control unit is thereby controllable by an electronic control apparatus in dependence on operating parameters of the internal combustion engine and the connection to the timing device is adapted to be interrupted by the control unit during each injection operation.

  • Patent number: 4697423
Abstract: A connecting line between a compressor of an exhaust gas turbocharger flangedly connected at the exhaust gas manifold of an internal combustion engine and a suction pipe which consists of a first line part secured at the suction pipe and of a second line part which is coupled with the exhaust gas turbocharger by way of plug-in coupling sections and with the first line part by way of a line bridge fixed at the engine and provided with plug-in coupling sections. The line bridge encloses a mixing space between its coupling sections, in which exhaust gases controlled by an exhaust gas valve are fed to the through-flowing charging air.

  • Patent number: 4495906
Abstract: A valve guide arrangement for a valve in a bypass or shunt duct of exhaust gas ducting equipment of naturally induced or supercharged engines, in which arrangement the stem of the valve is caused to slide in a valve guide formed as a bush and fixed rigidly in a housing part and an annular space is provided under the valve guide and surrounding the valve stem and operating as a settling space, this annular space being connected with the bypass or shunt duct by means of an annular gap operating as a throttle and formed by the valve stem and the housing part. The object of this special valve guide arrangement is to prevent valve jamming due to the solid exhaust-gas constituents found in the exhaust gas flow.

  • Patent number: 4461150
Abstract: A connection for an exhaust gas return pipe which includes a duct spirally disposed around an intake pipe of an internal combustion engine. Exhaust gases flow through the duct and enter, from the spiral duct, through overflow openings into the intake pipe so as to enable the exhaust gases to be intensively mixed with the intake air.

  • Patent number: 4355503
Abstract: An exhaust gas turbocharger having inlet channels combined only directly ahead of a turbine rotor at the periphery thereof. An annular gap is arranged within the area in which the back surface and an periphery of the turbine rotor form a circumferential circular edge. A part of the exhaust gas flows from the spiral housing through the annular gap into an annular channel arranged at the rotor back surface, from which branch off a return line to the charging air channel of the compressor, and a by-pass line to a turbine exhaust gas line, by-passing the turbine.
