  • Patent number: 11905310
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for purification a protein comprising a semi-continuous chromatography step whereby the flow-through is collected and re-loaded onto the chromatography matrix.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 24, 2021
Date of Patent: February 20, 2024
    Assignee: UCB BIOPHARMA SRL
    Inventor: Michael Harry Rose
  • Publication number: 20240043468
Abstract: There is disclosed a composition comprising a first construct, wherein the first construct comprises a charge component, a lock component and a key component; wherein the lock component and the key component are specific affinity binding partners and are separated such that they are unable to form a binding pair within the same construct; whereby in a first environmental condition, the charge component imparts a first overall charge to the first construct, the lock component binds to its binding partner on a second construct, and the key component binds to its binding partner on a third construct; and whereby in a second environmental condition, the charge component imparts a second overall charge to the first construct, and the lock and key components are in an unbound state. Also disclosed is a method of purification of a target compound involving the composition.

  • Patent number: 11498941
Abstract: The present invention is in the field of purification and protein purification in particular. The invention provides improved techniques for the industrial-scale purification of proteins and other biomolecules. More specifically, it relates to a process for the purification of a compound of interest, such as a protein, preferably an antibody or an antibody fragment using a chromatography step, preferably a semi-continuous chromatography step.

  • Patent number: 10983312
Abstract: An optical system for panoramic stereoscopic imaging can include an outer reflector and an inner reflector, which can both be configured to reflect light to a camera. The outer reflector can include striations or other reflection elements to turn the light that is reflected to the camera such that first and second light rays that are parallel and offset from each other (e.g., suitable for stereoscopic 3D viewing) can be reflected by the respective outer and inner reflectors to the camera. The outer reflector can be partially reflective and partially transmissive so that some light can pass through the outer reflector to be reflected by the inner reflector to the camera. The camera can capture a single image having a first portion that corresponds to a view generated by the inner reflector, and a second portion that corresponds to a stereoscopically offset view generated by the outer reflector.
