  • Patent number: 11951822
Abstract: A battery carrier having a trough formed from shaped sheet metal, which has at least one trough side wall and a trough bottom connected to the trough side wall, a plurality of support profiles provided in the trough and affixed to the trough, at least one battery pack, which is affixed to at least two support profiles extending adjacent to the battery pack, a lid, which is detachably connected to said trough, and a heat exchanger, which is thermally connected to the battery pack and has at least one flow channel for a liquid. In order to enable a simple design and simple assembly and maintenance, it is proposed for the lid to form the heat exchanger, wherein the battery pack is arranged at a distance from the trough bottom and the trough bottom is permanently connected to the trough side wall or embodied of one piece with it.

  • Patent number: 10612108
Abstract: A method for heating a blank or a preformed steel sheet component for hot forming and/or quench hardening purposes. In at least some regions, the heating is carried out to a temperature above AC3; the heating of the blank is embodied as a rapid heating and to this end, the blank is heated in a first zone at an average heating rate of >25 K/s up to about 600° C. and above this temperature, is heated at an average heating rate of >10 K/s up to a maximum of the AC3 temperature and then is transferred to a second zone in which the blank that has been preheated in the first zone is heated in at least some regions to temperatures greater than AC3, in particular >850° C., with the heating rate in the second zone being >10 K/s. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method.

  • Publication number: 20190039109
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for heating sheet steel blanks, in particular for shaping and hardening in a press hardening process, wherein there is a heating device, and the heating device includes at least one heating module; the at least one heating module has a boxlike element embodied in cassette-like fashion, which has a plate-shaped or rectangular cavity that has a flat plate on an underside; at least one heating element is positioned in the cavity, which element is embodied as an electrical resistance heating element, and the cavity is completely filled in an embedding fashion so that it is completely enclosed by a highly heat-conductive material, preferably copper, and relates to a method therefor.
