  • Patent number: 11851165
Abstract: A system and method are provided for continuous monitoring and controlling of aircraft braking that can reduce brake wear and aircraft operating costs through the retention of carbon brake powder from the brakes or addition of carbon powder in a device mounted with respect to the brake disk stack. The use of carbon powder reduces brake wear by providing small particles between the brake disks, acting as a buffer between the brake disks when the brake stack is clamped together. Moreover, when carbon powder or small particles are used at application, such use reduces the roughness of the carbon surface and reduces the number of large particles from braking off the carbon surface, thereby reducing brake wear. Adaptive or selective braking may be used in conjunction with carbon powder to further reduce carbon brake wear.

  • Publication number: 20230211767
Abstract: An indicator for monitoring temperature and wear of one or more aircraft brakes. One or more sensors are provided for sensing a parameter of usage, and an estimate of usage of the part can be determined based upon the signal indicating the sensed value of the parameter of usage of the aircraft part. A plurality of sensors can be provided for sensing usage of a plurality of parts of the aircraft, and the estimate of usage of the part can be stored for access of the estimate by ground personnel. In addition, the sensed usage data are critical inputs for the brake controller to regulate which brakes are applied.

  • Publication number: 20080027845
Abstract: A method of refinancing a mortgage loan is provided. The method of refinancing a mortgage loan comprises pre-approving a customer for refinancing of a mortgage loan. This customer is sent a pre-screened offer. The offer comprises materials setting forth the terms of the refinanced mortgage loan, materials providing all required pre-acceptance disclosures, and instructions describing how the customer may accept the offer. Upon receiving an indication of acceptance of the offer from the customer, a closing package is sent to the customer to be executed by the customer. The execution of the closing package by the customer creates a refinancing loan agreement. Also provided is a closing package for a mortgage loan comprising closing documents and a format and instructions providing specific guidance to the customer for completion and execution of the closing documents.
