  • Patent number: 11470400
Abstract: A computer-driven apparatus coupled to a network receives data from metadata sources and consumers' display devices. From the sources, the apparatus collects metadata concerning characteristics of a given item of host video and a proposed class of advertisements for web delivery proximate or embedded in the given item. The apparatus continually monitors actual delivery of the given item by receiving transmissions from consumers' display devices. The apparatus develops initial forecasting inputs based on historical data from similar host videos, and then adjusts the forecasting inputs based on the actual deliveries. These forecasting inputs are used to compute an interim supply of advertising opportunities associated with the given item, which is reduced by relevant factors to provide a net available supply forecast. The apparatus provides a human-readable display of information including the net available supply forecast.

  • Publication number: 20220290767
Abstract: A vacuum system non-return valve has a baffle for extending across a flow path The baffle has an aperture, a perimeter of the aperture having a valve seat. The valve also has a valve member having a protrusion extending from a surface configured to mate with the valve seat, the protrusion extending through the aperture; wherein the protrusion includes a retaining portion extending outwardly from the protrusion and configured such that the retaining portion cannot pass through the aperture. The valve member and aperture are configured such that the valve member obscures the aperture and seals with the valve seat to impede a flow of fluid from an outlet end to an inlet end in a closed position and is displaceable in use to move away from the valve seat and allow a fluid flow from the inlet end to the outlet end in an open position.

  • Patent number: 11387061
Abstract: Disclosed herein are passive triggering mechanisms for activation of pyrotechnic features within electrical switching devices, such as contactor devices and fuse devices. The activation of the pyrotechnic features is configured to change the configuration of the internal components of the switching device and prevent current flow through the device. In some embodiments, the triggering mechanisms comprise features that respond to a magnetic field, such as a reed switch. In some embodiments, threshold strength of a magnetic field needed to trigger the passive triggering mechanism, which corresponds to a threshold level of current running through the switching devices indicating a dangerous overcurrent, can be adjusted based upon the distance between the passive triggering mechanism and a portion of the device such as a power terminal or feature connected to a power terminal.

  • Publication number: 20220207454
Abstract: Lean manufacturing principles are integrated into computing components for the generation, collection, analysis, and propagation of real-time manufacturing and supply operations data. A set of role card objects determined to correspond to a received electronic plan can be selected for generating a workflow dataset representative of a standard workflow. The workflow dataset, including the selected set of role card objects, can be displayed via a graphical user interface. The GUI can facilitate scheduling, assignment, and execution of various tasks defined within the role card objects. Timed durations of executing such tasks can be compared to standard durations defined in each role card object of the workflow dataset, such that deviations from the standard durations can be determined. As variances can be problematic to operational efficiencies, techniques for dynamically generating, assigning, and analyzing datasets associated with identified problematic areas, such as variances, are provided.

  • Patent number: 11248607
Abstract: A rotor for a multi-stage vacuum pump, a multi-stage vacuum pump and a method. The rotor comprises: a plurality of rotary vanes, the plurality of rotary vanes being axially displaced and coaxially aligned; a pair of end shafts, each end shaft extending from opposing axial ends of the plurality of rotary vanes; and an inter-vane shaft extending between adjacent rotary vanes of the plurality of rotary vanes, the inter-vane shaft having a diameter which is greater than that of the end shafts. In this way, the inter-vane shaft provided between each rotary vane may have an increased diameter, which improves the stiffness of the shaft and changes the modal frequency of the rotor. Such a change in the modal frequency is typically sufficient to improve its operation.
