  • Patent number: 11749030
Abstract: A method for cleaning a combustion engine is disclosed wherein an apparatus with a cable is coupled to an on-board diagnostic port on the vehicle, and a service hose with a misting nozzle adapter is coupled to a first port on a vehicle. A controller monitors data from the on-board diagnostic port on a vehicle, where the data preferably includes the engine rpm, the catalytic convertor temperature, the engine coolant temperature, the MAF, and the MAP. The controller monitors information from the cleaning apparatus, and the information is processed to adjust the dispensing of the cleaning solution. The adjustment of the cleaning solution can vary the rate, volume, pressure, pulse interval, flow pattern, and duration of the solution in the engine.

  • Patent number: 11745718
Abstract: The present invention is an actuator that may be used to service a vehicle, where the actuator engages an accelerator pedal of the vehicle and can control the pedal remotely using a vehicle service module or tech station that automatically carries out a vehicle engine service. The actuator comprises a member that uses a linear actuator to engage the vehicle's accelerator pedal and controls the speed of the engine using feedback directly from the engine's ECU or other direct engine input. The pedal actuator include input cables that receive signals from the remote service module to adjust the speed of the engine to optimize a service performance. The data from the engine can include temperature, pressure, RPMs, and various other inputs depending on the service to be performed. The present invention allows the service technician to control the engine without the need for a second tech to apply pressure to the accelerator and monitor the engine speed.

  • Patent number: 6935388
Abstract: A coolant transfer machine for an automotive engine includes first and second fluid transfer systems. The first system, operated when the engine is not running, sequentially first removes at least a substantial portion of used coolant from the engine. The first system then collects in a used fluid container the used coolant as the used coolant is being removed and then replaces the removed used coolant with new coolant from a new fluid container. The second system, operated when the engine is running, simultaneously displaces at least a substantial portion of used coolant in the engine with new coolant from the new fluid container and collects the displaced used coolant in the used fluid container. A manually operable switch has a first position that enables operation of the first fluid transfer system and a second position that enables operation of the second fluid transfer system.

  • Patent number: 6698472
Abstract: A housing for a fluid transfer machine includes a base and a pedestal extending outward from the base in a substantially vertical orientation and terminating in a platform. The base has a perimeter defined by an edge, and the pedestal is offset inward from the edge to provide an open space beneath the platform between an underside of the platform and a topside of the base member. This space stores at least one container for a fluid. A cover is mounted to move between an open position where the platform is exposed and a closed position where the platform is covered.

  • Patent number: 6510876
Abstract: An adapter connects different sized conduits to a radiator, where each conduit has an open end configured differently than the open ends of the other conduits. The adapter includes a body member having a cavity therein, with a connection member having one end extending from the body member to be attached to a coupling member and another end in communication with the cavity. A passageway extends between these ends. Tubular inserts are individually and independently coupled to one sized conduit. Each insert has a first end sized to fit snug within the cavity and a second opposed end sized to fit within an open end of one of the conduits.
