  • Patent number: 7503883
Abstract: A resistance exercise device comprising at least one handle and a cord having a pair of ends and a length extending between the pair of ends, the handle being secured to one of the ends of the cord, the cord being stretchable to extend the length and comprising a plurality of tubes extending substantially the entire length of the cord, the tubes being conjoined together along substantially the entire length of the cord by means of braiding. The tubes are conjoined together such that the tubes are snug along substantially the entire length of the cord and such that each of the tubes is in contact with at least one of the other tubes substantially along the entire length of the cord. The resistance exercise device may further comprise a plug and sleeve for securing the handle to the end of the cord.

  • Patent number: 4593714
Abstract: A manhole assembly is attached on a fill pipe for an underground storage tank for gasoline, diesel fuel or other types of toxic chemicals. The manhole assembly comprises a bucket-like body attached on an upper end of the fill pipe and a removable cover mounted on an upper end of the body to selectively expose the fill pipe. At least one annular dam is formed on an upper surface of the body and is adapted to nest within an annular groove formed on an underside of the cover. The dam functions as a barrier to prevent the ingress of water into the body during rainstorms and the like. A combined sealing and cushioning assembly attaches a bottom wall of the body to the fill pipe and a drain connection is provided for selectively communicating an internal chamber of the body with the fill pipe.

  • Patent number: 4351446
Abstract: A high-security fill cap is adapted for releasable attachment to the open end of a fill pipe, connected to an underground fuel storage tank or the like. The fill cap comprises an annular cap, a plurality of latches pivotally mounted on the cap for movement between latched positions engaging the pipe and unlatched positions disengaging the pipe, an actuating mechanism, including a handle, for moving the latches between their latched and unlatched positions in response to reciprocal movement of the handle, and a key lock secured centrally within the handle to selectively rotate a cam plate thereof between its locked and unlocked positions beneath the cap.

  • Patent number: 4195674
Abstract: A gasoline pump comprises a housing having a vapor recovery nozzle mounted on a bracket. An actuating lever is pivotally mounted on the housing for movement between "on" and "off" positions. The nozzle comprises an annular elastomeric face seal adapted for sealing engagement over a fill neck of a vehicle and a spout extending through the face seal for disposition within the fill neck for gasoline filling purposes. A hood assembly is secured on the housing to cooperate with the bracket to mount the nozzle and to fully enclose and protect the face seal thereof. The hood assembly preferably comprises a metallic plate secured to the housing of the pump and a generally wedge-shaped hood member secured to the plate. An elastomeric gasket is secured to the lower free edges of the hood member to prevent damage to the face seal of the vapor recovery nozzle upon insertion thereof into the hood assembly. The bracket may be mounted on the housing, on the actuating lever or, on the hood assembly.
