The torque transmitter includes a rotating input driver configured to receive a rotary input transmitted from a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine. The rotating input driver is coupled to the rotating output driver to actuate the rotating output driver at a plurality of gear ratios.

In another embodiment, one or more pitot tubes are provided that allows accurate measurement of exhaust gas flows when the exhaust gas flows in a reverse direction.

    Abstract: A fuel cooler and coolant filter assembly for the filtering of coolant and the cooling of a fuel flow for use in connection with a cylinder head of a vehicle engine includes three primary components which are assembled to one another in a stacked configuration and which in turn are assembled to the cylinder head. These three primary components include a fuel cooler core which is assembled directly to the cylinder head and which includes a fuel inlet, a fuel outlet, and a heat exchanger. The interior of the fuel cooler core is designed for the incoming fuel to flow and circulate across the exterior of the heat exchanger prior to exiting. The second primary component includes a filter head assembly with various inlets, outlets, and passageways. The filter head assembly is attached directly to the fuel cooler core so as to deliver coolant into the heat exchanger.

    Abstract: A compact, short stroke breakover throttle lever assembly which prevents damage to high pressure internal combustion engine fuel pumps is provided. The compact, short stroke breakover throttle lever of the present invention includes a throttle lever element and a throttle control link element which are coaxial and move synchronously with a fuel pump throttle shaft that are pivotally connected at an end of the throttle lever element a maximum distance from the fuel pump throttle shaft. A central throttle control link connection and return spring connection are provided on the throttle control link element. The pivotal movement of the throttle control link element relative to the throttle lever element is limited by the travel limits of a spring engaging element which cooperates with a spring to hold the throttle lever element and throttle control link element in alignment.

    Abstract: A protective boot formed of a resilient elastomeric material is provided having a housing with an opening therein through which the reciprocating shaft of a solenoid or like device projects with the shaft being axially movable relative to the housing of the solenoid through a stroke of a predetermined length from an extended position to a retracted position. The protective boot includes a first ring portion sealingly fixed to the housing about the opening and, a second ring portion sealingly fixed to and reciprocatable with the shaft. The body portion of the boot forms a fluid chamber about the shaft between the first and second ring portions, with the body portion comprising at least one pair of truncated conical sections each being integrally formed at their narrow portion with a respective one of the ring portions and an intermediate portion integrally formed between the widened portions of the conical sections.
