  • Publication number: 20150151721
Abstract: An actuation system for a wiper stick of a vehicle is provided for cleaning the windscreen. The actuation system includes a plurality of nozzles coupled with the wiper stick and configured to eject a pressurized fluid on the windscreen. The actuation system further includes a fluid motor and configured to move the wiper stick on the windscreen. The actuation system also includes a fluid pump to provide the pressurized fluid to the plurality of nozzles and drive the fluid motor. The actuation system may move the wiper stick on the windscreen in a first mode and a second mode. In a first mode, the wiper stick moves on the windscreen due to the ejection of the pressurized fluid from the plurality of nozzles. In a second mode, the fluid motor is operated to move the wiper stick on the windscreen.

  • Publication number: 20150151720
Abstract: An actuation system for a wiper stick of a vehicle is provided for cleaning the windscreen. The actuation system includes a first set of nozzles and a second set of nozzles coupled with a first surface and a second surface of the wiper stick respectively. The second surface is disposed opposite to the first surface. The first set of nozzles and the second set of nozzles may be configured to eject pressurized air on the windscreen. The actuation system further includes a compressor to provide the pressurized air to the first set of nozzles and the second set of nozzles. The actuation system may move the wiper stick on the windscreen by ejecting the pressurized air from the first set of nozzles or the second set of nozzles.

  • Patent number: 5895542
Abstract: A coater and method allow for an essentially dry coating process. In this process, a coating is continually applied to a casting drum. This casting drum will rotate to move the coating passed infrared drying units. The exterior face of the casting drum is cooled. The temperature of the coating will rise except at an area adjacent the casting drum. This will reduce the water concentration of the coating except at the area adjacent the casting drum. This arrangement prevents the coating from bonding to the casting drum. Therefore, the coating can easily be removed from the casting drum and applied to a final substrate.

  • Patent number: 5146829
Abstract: A web severing device for providing a smooth severed edge on a moving web. The device includes a support member and a plurality of independent blade sections mounted on the support member at substantially a 45.degree. angle with respect thereto. In one embodiment, a forward portion of each of the blade sections is angled toward a center of the support member whereas in a second embodiment, the blades are alternately angled toward and away from the center of the support member. In all embodiments, the support member is selectively released toward the web, and the plurality of blade sections simultaneously engage with the web to sever the same.
