  • Patent number: 11700515
Abstract: A system and method of providing information about a transport service to user devices are described. The system arranges a transport service for a first user and a second user. The system determines first data corresponding to a first route from a location of a driver device of the driver to a first pickup location of the first user and second data corresponding to a second route from the first pickup location to a second pickup location of the second user. A combined route is determined based on the first data and the second data. The system transmits data associated with the first data without transmitting the data corresponding to the combined route to a first user device of the first user, and transmits data corresponding to the combined route to a second user device of the second user.

  • Publication number: 20230158222
Abstract: The devices and methods of the present invention can be used to capture and remove COVID-19 mediating nanoparticles and/or exosomes associated with COVID-19 or similar disease from the circulatory system of patients in need thereof, including those with post-COVID-19 syndrome or similar post-disease sequelae so-called “long haul” symptoms of COVID-19 or similar disease. The present invention benefits patients by providing lectin based extracorporeal methods for binding and physically removing SA RS-C7oV-2 virions, or fragments thereof, from the circulatory system. Also provided are lectin based extracorporeal methods of binding and physically removing non-viral COVID-19 mediating nanoparticles. Also disclosed herein are devices and methods for reducing the levels of biomarkers and markers of morbidity/mortality of diseases such as COVID-19 and similar diseases, including cytokines, such as IL-6, Troponin T, and D-dimer.

  • Publication number: 20230152384
Abstract: A method and a device for testing a battery state determines if a battery is faulty. A first impedance test is conducted to determine the internal resistance of the battery, wherein the battery is energized with an electrical current flow with a certain frequency and a resulting voltage response of the battery is measured. A load high-current test of the battery with a test pulse HRD test is conducted next. Then, a second impedance test is conducted. The measurement results of the tests are recorded and stored, and then evaluated by arranging such results offset in relation to one another, in such a way that the battery state can be derived therefrom, in particular whether the battery is faulty.

  • Publication number: 20230144387
Abstract: In an embodiment of the disclosed principles, a method of analyzing a rope to estimate its residual break strength (RBS) is provided. The method entails training a multi-layered neural network to recognize rope damage and estimate an RBS for a rope under study by collecting high-resolution visual data of a plurality of sample ropes, extracting visual features of damaged areas of each rope, resolving each visual feature into a damage type and clustering damage type exemplars, breaking each sample rope to determine an actual RBS for each rope and classifying the visual data via determined RBS, specific to product type/damage mode. Job and product data are entered for the rope under study, the rope is paid out, and high-resolution visual data is captured while spooling back the rope. The correlated data is provided to the multi-layered neural network to generate an estimate of RBS for the rope under study.

  • Patent number: 11593807
Abstract: A system for verifying a user operating an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) sends an authentication media item to a user device associated with the user when the ATM receives a transaction request. The system receives, from the ATM, a first image of the authentication media item when the authentication media item is presented to the ATM. The system compares the first image of the authentication media item with a second image of the authentication media item stored in a user profile associated with the user. The system extracts a first unique code from the first image of the authentication media item, and a second unique code from the second image of the authentication media item. The system determines whether the first unique code corresponds to the second unique code. The system approves the transaction request if it is determined that the first unique code corresponds to the second unique code.

  • Publication number: 20230023094
Abstract: A medical device that includes a first body including a first actuation member including a first connector and a second actuation member. The medical device includes a second body for attachment to, and detachment from, the first body. The second body including an actuation wire, a second connector at a proximal end of the actuation wire, and a valve having one or more channels for receiving a material. Attachment of the first body with the second body results in the first connector engaging the second connector, such that movement of the first actuation member causes a corresponding movement of the actuation wire. Moving the second actuation member into the second body to interact with the valve is configured to selectively direct the material through the one or more channels.

  • Publication number: 20220300979
Abstract: An Automated Teller Machine (ATM) terminal receives a transaction request from a user. The ATM terminal triggers a camera to capture a first image of the authentication media item presented by the user, where the first image of the authentication media item is embedded with a first unique code. The ATM terminal compares the first image of the authentication media item with a second image of the authentication media item that is associated with the user, where the second image of the authentication media item is embedded with a second unique code for verifying the user. The ATM terminal determines whether the first unique code corresponds to the second unique code. The ATM terminal conducts the transaction request if it is determined that the first unique code corresponds to the second unique code.
