Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system for capturing photographic images with a camera integrated in an electronic display. The system includes: a display screen; a set of display elements coupled to a front side of the display screen; and an image-capturing mechanism coupled to a backside of the display screen. The display elements are configured to cycle between an active state, in which the display elements are illuminated to display a display image on the display screen, and an inactive state, in which the display elements are darkened and at least partially transparent. While the display elements are in the inactive state, the image-capturing mechanism is configured to capture a photographic image of objects in front of the display screen through the display screen and the display elements.

Abstract: A lid actuated device foot lifts a device to facilitate cooling. The device foot includes a device lid, and at least one lifting cam coupled to the device lid through a hinge. The lifting cam rotates about the hinge on an axis and has an eccentric contact surface capable of contacting a supporting surface. The device is thus lifted when the device lid is moved to a first position corresponding to an operational state thereby rotating the lifting cam about the axis. The contact surface is non-lifting when the device lid is in a second position corresponding to a non-operational state of the device.

In another embodiment, add-on card installed into expansion slots may be retained in the expansion slot when the next expansion slot is filled.

Abstract: A hideaway integrated docking cradle which may be positioned on a computer or other peripheral device, such as a keyboard, monitor, or printer, includes a docking cradle rotatably attached to a host device, the cradle movable from a first position in which it is closed and substantially flush with the external contour of the host device, and a second, operational position in which the docking cradle rests against the housing so as to allow the connection and retention of a PDA within the cradle. The hideaway integrated docking cradle may be integrated into furniture or other non-computer devices which are linked to a computer in some fashion.
