  • Publication number: 20240156619
Abstract: A system and method for positioning and orienting an orthopedic implant that includes an implant body; a sensor system integrated into the implant body, the sensor system comprising of at least a plurality of electrodes positioned within the implant body such there is at least one exposed region on the surface of the implant body for each electrode of the plurality of electrodes; a sensor processing control system communicatively coupled to the sensor system, the sensor processing control system configured with instructions that when executed cause the sensor processing control system to collect sensor data from the sensor system and generate adjacency data from the sensor data; and an implant feedback system, that updates state based in part on the adjacency data.

  • Publication number: 20090138620
Abstract: An apparatus facilitates communications between first and second entities via a network. The first entity cooperates with a first interface unit to communicate via the network using a first protocol. The second entity cooperates with a second interface unit to communicate via the network using a second protocol. The network does not support communications using at least one of the first and second protocols. The apparatus includes: (a) a first converter coupled with the first entity for emulating the cooperative relation between the second entity and the second interface unit to convert communications from the first entity into a common protocol; and (b) a second converter coupled with the second entity for emulating the cooperative relation between the first entity and the first interface unit to convert communications from the second entity into the common protocol. The first and second converters communicate via the network using the common protocol.

  • Publication number: 20080156250
Abstract: A boat tower is disclosed that includes a boat tower riser fixed at a lower end to a plurality of pivots and that is selectively positionable between a raised position and a lowered position or any position therebetween. At least one linear actuator is further included that includes a piston moveable between a retracted position and an extend position. Each linear actuator has a distal end connected to the riser and a proximal end connected to the boat, or, in an alternate embodiment, to one of a plurality of pivot supports. In such an alternate embodiment, each pivot support includes an upper end engaged at least indirectly to one of the pivots to support same, and a lower end fixed to the boat.

  • Publication number: 20080156248
Abstract: The present invention is an elevated boat tower that provides a vessel for the storage of compressed air therein. The device provides easy access and use of the compressed air within elongated and substantially hollow tube members connected at each end thereof to either the boat or other tube members. At least one air valve allows for compressed air to be selectively introduced into or released from within the boat tower.
