  • Patent number: 9621716
Abstract: A method and system for enabling one or more communication services on a wireless device are provided. The method comprises: sending a request for provisioning information from a carrier provisioning system to a device developer provisioning system; receiving, from the device developer provisioning system, secure provisioning information corresponding to the request; and sending the secure provisioning information corresponding to the request from the carrier provisioning system to the wireless device.

  • Patent number: 9100803
Abstract: Methods and systems for managing a pool of subscriber identities, and wirelessly provisioning mobile devices to use one or more of the subscriber identities when a subscriber is roaming on a different network. When a subscriber's mobile device connects to a visited network, a subscriber identity server can be notified. The subscriber identity server may have access to a plurality of available subscriber identities (e.g., registered to various service providers), and may select a suitable subscriber identity matching the subscriber's visited network. The subscriber identity can be communicated to the subscriber's mobile device, which can be reprogrammed to assume the new subscriber identity.

  • Patent number: 8949349
Abstract: A communications system includes a mobile wireless communications device, a trusted server, and a plurality of host servers. A given one of the host servers is in communication with the mobile wireless communications device. The given host server is configured to generate and send a redirection request to the mobile wireless communications device, the redirection request requesting the mobile wireless communications device to communicate with an other one of the host servers. The mobile wireless communications device is configured to send the redirection request to the trusted server, and the trusted server configured to send the redirection request to the mobile wireless communications device based upon verification of the redirection request.

  • Publication number: 20140379575
Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, and non-transitory media for controlling transactions using near field communications devices are described. A method includes accessing, in secure memory or a mobile communication device, data representing at least one transaction restriction associated with an authorized user of the mobile communication device; using the at least one accessed transaction restriction, determining whether a transaction data set representing terms of a proposed transaction is authorized; and if the transaction is authorized, transmitting to a networked payment processing resource data representing terms associated with the transaction data set and a payment request.

  • Publication number: 20130331027
Abstract: A mobile wireless communications device may include a first wireless transceiver, a second wireless transceiver having a longer communication range than the first wireless transceiver, and a controller coupled with the first wireless transceiver and the second wireless transceiver. The controller may be capable of transmitting, via the first wireless transceiver, an access request to an access control device associated with an access position, and receive a first identifier from the access control device based upon the access request. The controller may be further capable of transmitting, via the second wireless transceiver, an authentication request to an authentication server based upon the first identifier and a second identifier associated with the mobile wireless communications device, and receive an authentication response based upon the authentication request.
