  • Patent number: 5233507
Abstract: For the purpose of high-frequency sealing the longitudinal gaps between the U-shaped profiles of the front plates of modular units that are to be inserted into HF-tight housings of electronic equipment, a spring element of metal, for example a non-corrosive steel, is proposed. This spring element is composed of two identical contact springs having spring leaves and a spring clip disposed therebetween. The spring clip is provided with a clamping leaf equipped with claws. A planar rear leaf connects the two contact springs with the spring clip. An angled-away insertion strip at the clamping leaf facilitates insertion of the spring clip onto a longitudinally rectangular longitudinal web at the rear face of the front plate. The spring leaves are provided with contact humps and an abutment strip and contact the longitudinal strip of the front plate of the adjacent modular unit which is provided with an insertion slope.

  • Patent number: 5170894
Abstract: A component carrier for accommodating circuit boards includes two front module rails and two rear module rails which connect two parallel side walls with one another. Between the side walls, guide rails for insertion of the circuit boards are provided at the module rails. The frontal faces of the rear module rails are provided with threaded holes for screwing on backplanes. Insulating strips which are equipped with fastening elements and are clamped to the module rails by means of these fastening elements serve to insulate these backplanes against the module rails. The insulating strips are provided with holes which correspond to the threaded holes in the module rails.

  • Patent number: 5156280
Abstract: The guide rails for the circuit boards of a component carrier are provided with centering pins on their undersides and with a spring elastic holding clamp at one end as fastening element whose base is attached to the underside and whose holding tongue is bent in the direction toward the centering pin, with the distance of the front edge of the holding tongue from the centering pin being slightly greater than the distance of the front edge of the long holes of the module rails from the front edge of the longitudinal web of the module rails. At the other end of the guide rails a resilient clamping web projects as a second fastening element parallel to the centering pin. The free end of the clamping web is provided with a clamping shoulder oriented toward the centering pin for gripping around the front edge of the longitudinal web of the module rails.

  • Patent number: 5154300
Abstract: A component carrier for circuit boards equipped with electrical and electronic components and insertable on guide rails has two parallel side walls as well as four front and rear module rails which connect the side walls and support the guide rails. In order to prevent twisting of the module rails relative to the side walls and permit accurate assembly, the side walls are provided, for the fastening of the module rails, with groups of fastening elements in the form of holes and with pins that project toward the interior. Each one of these groups of fastening elements has four fixing pins that are disposed in the corners of a rectangle and form two pairs and each group additionally has an associated fastening hole. The profiles of the module rails here engage matingly into the space between each pair of fixing pins.

  • Patent number: 4961712
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mechanical and electrical connection between an extruded metal profile and a cast metal member. The cast member is provided with a peglike projection which is adapted to the interior configuration of the extruded profile and is insertable into the extruded profile. In order to realize a connection which is reliable even under mechanical stresses, which does not interfere with the subsequent lacquering and burn-in processes and which, moreover, is invisible, the invention provides that a spring of a hardness greater than both the extruded profile and the cast member is disposed between mutually facing faces of the extruded profile and the cast member. Barbs are shaped onto the cast member so as to engage in both components.

  • Patent number: 4783720
Abstract: A plug assembly having a printed circuit board, a face plate and two printed circuit board holders, for introduction into a frame-like structural assembly including bearing rails. The printed circuit board holders being provided with a clamping stand for the printed circuit board, a receiver slot for receiving a face plate, and a flange for attachment to a bearing rail. The improvement being that each printed circuit board holder has a face plate attachment mechanism, at least one rib disposed in the receiver slot and a wall disposed adjacent the receiver slot which contains an opening. The face plate attachment mechanism being disposed in the opening and passing through the receiver slot. The face plate has at least one projection insertable in the receiver slot of one holder.
