  • Patent number: 11954655
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for generating alerts in association with a request to open an account for an individual. For example, information identifying an individual may be received from a financial entity in association with the financial entity receiving a request to open an account for the individual from a requesting entity. The requesting entity may be a vendor or service provider associated with the financial entity. An electronic notification may then be sent to the individual, which may include a selectable option to indicate that the individual does not authorize opening of the account. In response to receiving an indication that the individual does not authorize opening of the account, notifications may be sent to both the financial entity and the requesting entity indicating that the individual has not authorized opening of the account.

  • Patent number: 9610967
Abstract: A steering wheel assembly includes an armature, and a plurality of exterior shell sections. Each of the exterior shell sections include an inner layer, an intermediate layer, and an outer layer, and have a counterpart or corresponding exterior shell section. The armature may include a hub, a generally U-shaped rim and at least two spokes connecting the hub and the generally U-shaped rim. The first layer of each of the plurality of exterior shell sections includes a protrusion that extends into and conforms to the generally U-shaped rim. Also, the intermediate layer of each of the plurality of exterior shell sections is molded over the inner layer. Each of the plurality of exterior shell sections and its counterpart are interlocking.

  • Patent number: 9545877
Abstract: A steering wheel assembly for a motor vehicle includes a steering wheel having a rim, a hub, and spokes connecting the rim and hub. An airbag module is disposed on the hub. Horn activating switches are disposed on the plurality of spokes. A bezel is disposed adjacent to the airbag module for actuating the horn, the bezel being movably mounted to the steering wheel to contact any of the horn activating switches. At least a portion of the bezel is axially movable relative to the steering wheel to contact any of the horn activating switches, whereby a motor vehicle operator may actuate the horn by pressing on the bezel without contacting any portion of the airbag module.

  • Patent number: 9415791
Abstract: A steering wheel assembly includes an armature having a hub, a rim and at least two spokes extending between the hub and the rim, and a damper. The damper connects the at least two spokes and the hub and prevents contact between the spokes and hub. The at least two spokes and hub may include interdigitating projections which the damper prevents from contacting one another. The damper substantially fills a gap between the interdigitating projections and envelops the interdigitating projections. In one embodiment, the damper is annular and the interdigitating projections extend radially and include a base and a distal end having a length greater than a length of the base.
