  • Patent number: 8331561
Abstract: A sink may be to used to process multimedia digital data. The sink may include a plurality of input ports, an output port, a switchably-enabled selector to select an input port from a plurality of HDMI input ports to couple to an output port, a control circuit to detect encrypted data in a channel of the input ports; and a plurality of decryption engines. Each of the decryption engines may be coupled to respective input ports to synchronize with a corresponding encryption engine of a data source after the control circuit detects encrypted data in the channel of the respective input port. Additional circuitry may be included to operate the sink in a power saving mode. Also, methods for processing the data in both power saving and non-power saving modes.

  • Patent number: 7421049
Abstract: A method and an apparatus provide extraction of data from an analog signal. The method includes deriving a data-location signal having amplitude transitions that identify a phase of amplitude transitions of the analog signal, and, in response to the data-location signal, selecting a sampling clock signal having a phase different from the phase of the amplitude transitions of the analog signal. The apparatus includes a signal generator that derives from the analog signal a data-location signal, and a selector that selects a sampling clock signal having a phase different from the phase of the amplitude transitions of the analog signal.

  • Patent number: 7391474
Abstract: Display interface embodiments are provided to capture various types of analog video signals and digitize them for presentation on advanced digital displays (e.g., computer displays and television displays). The embodiments include at least an error converter channel and a reference converter channel that can each amplify an analog input signal S with a fixed gain G and a programmed gain g and convert the amplified signal to a corresponding digital code. The embodiments also include a channel controller that is configured to conduct process steps that adjust the transfer function of the error converter channel to conform to (e.g., matches) the transfer function of the reference converter channel.
