  • Publication number: 20230414866
Abstract: A medical device includes a base having a first surface to be secured to a patient's skin. A first insertable member has a length portion extending from the first surface of the base for insertion. A second insertable member has a length portion extending from the first surface of the base for insertion through the patient's skin. The first insertable member includes a sensor member for sensing a biological condition, and the second insertable member includes an infusion cannula for infusing an infusion media. The distal end of the first insertable member and the distal end of the second insertable member are spaced apart by a first distance of at least 5.0 mm, for reducing interference of the infusion media from the infusion cannula with an operation of the sensor member.

  • Publication number: 20210100319
Abstract: Footwear, such as a sports shoe, that has a cleated scaffold that attaches to an underside of a sole of the shoe body of footwear because of an attachment mechanism. The mechanism has cooperative components arranged to engage each other when in alignment to allow the cleated scaffold and shoe body to move in unison and in the absence of a critical pivoting force. When a critical pivoting force arises, such as when the cleats remain fixed in position in a manner that resists their movement in unison with the shoe body, the scaffold dissociates from the shoe body in order to reduce/prevent knee injury.

  • Publication number: 20210002892
Abstract: Embodiments of a parapet clamp device employ struts, a strut clamp, an L-connector and a clamp arm assembly. The device can securely nest a strut within the strut clamp and the strut clamp within the clamp arm assembly so as to promote sliding engagement to a desired location where the device components can be fixedly secured. The device can be embodied as a series of parapet clamp devices with each uniquely adaptable to the environment in which it is deployed.

  • Publication number: 20210002834
Abstract: A mobile barricade support device employs one or more rolling weight-supporting platforms, with a vertical strut extending from each of the one or more platforms to engage and support a barricade wall. The platforms may optionally be fixedly secured together by a horizontal strut and one or more backing brace members may optionally be secured to the platforms and the vertical struts for additional support.

  • Publication number: 20180025369
Abstract: Provided are a system and a method that compares a client's brand to competitors' brands using normalized reference benchmarks. The normalized reference benchmarks are produced utilizing social media metrics. The system and method also provide constructive feedback on how the client can obtain a higher normalized reference benchmark. Also provided is a computer program code that implements the method steps.

  • Publication number: 20090182609
Abstract: A system is provided for screening requests for proposal and matching the requests with high potential solution providers. The system includes a host computer, a screening and matching process, a proposal request key generator, and a response key generator. The host computer is in communications with a computer network. The screening and matching process is resident and executable on the host computer. This process is adapted to accept data input from a proposal requestor and from a proposal responder and to output data to the proposal requestor and to the proposal responder, and to define a requirements data set and to receive a response data set. The response key generator generates a key that represents the proposal responder's reply to the requirements data set. The response key is processed with the request key to provide a proposal key which is output from the host computer via the computer network to the proposal requestor.

  • Publication number: 20040054610
Abstract: A system and method facilitating financial advice delivery by linking product and service recommendations to objective financial advice. A generic abstraction of all strategic and tactical financial goal setting, analysis, funding and tracking elements into a set of distinct conceptual building blocks, which, in combination, provide a comprehensive representation of all aspects of balance sheet, income statement, cash flow and insurance planning and analysis. A proprietary Rule Builder Workstation governs all aspects of Wealth Management applications including business/financial advice logic, constants and user interface elements. Business rules controlling content, advice, and presentation format across multiple employee and customer facing applications are written and modified in an environment that enables business usurers to dynamically add or update rules without a new release of the software.

  • Patent number: 5794016
Abstract: A parallel-processor graphics architecture appropriate for multimedia graphics workstations that is scalable to the needs of a user. The graphics architecture includes one or more rendering processors and a graphics memory that is partitioned into blocks. Noncontiguous groups of the blocks are then assigned to different processors. The parallel-processor graphics architecture is scalable by the number of rendering processors utilized, and is configurable with respect to the allocation of the groups of the blocks to specific rendering processors.
