Abstract: Patient body part traction exerting and control kit apparatus, comprising in combination a motor driven rotary drive means to tension a traction exerting line; a support means carrying rotary drive means and configured to be attached to equipment at an attraction exertion site, to present drive means for traction line operation attached to aid rotary drive means; the support means having a first section attached to the equipment, and a second section carrying rotary drive means for displacement enabling sideward shifting of a traction line to accommodate patient body shifting, while under traction.

Abstract: A motorized mixer for mixing bone cement for use in attachment of prosthetics and method for using the mixer. The mixer comprises a mixing chamber, a liner in the mixing chamber, an impeller within the liner, a motor for driving the impeller and programmable memory mechanics for regulating the operations of the motor. The liner comprises a basket for receiving vials of bone cement catalyst and a mixing bowl for receiving the bone cement powder. Preferably the two are permanently attached to one another. The mixing bowl is also used for mixing the two components together to produce the bone cement. During mixing the mixing bowl is maintained under a vacuum to withdraw fumes from the bone cement and to prevent gases from being mixed into the bone cement. Once mixing is complete, a U-shaped trap door releases the mixed bone cement from the mixing bowl, through a discharge tube and into a bone cement cartridge.

Abstract: A bone cement delivery gun for use in attachment of prosthetics and method of using the delivery gun. The gun comprises a reservoir and a trigger mechanism. The reservoir comprises a plunger at a first end of the reservoir and a screw mount fitting at a second end of the reservoir. The trigger mechanism comprises a first position wherein gas, from a compressed gas source, is prevented from reaching the plunger and a second position wherein compressed gas is conveyed from the compressed gas source to the plunger to thereby move the plunger in a direction toward the screw mount fitting.
