  • Publication number: 20240094233
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods, devices and systems for associating consumable data with an assay consumable used in a biological assay. Provided are assay systems and associated consumables, wherein the assay system adjusts one or more steps of an assay protocol based on consumable data specific for that consumable. Various types of consumable data are described, as well as methods of using such data in the conduct of an assay by an assay system. The present invention also relates to consumables (e.g., kits and reagent containers), software, data deployable bundles, computer-readable media, loading carts, instruments, systems, and methods, for performing automated biological assays.

  • Patent number: 6183607
Abstract: An electrodeposition cell for electrodepositing metal onto a surface of a rotating drum that is partially immersed in an electrolytic solution. The cell includes an anode comprised of a main anode body portion and an anode extension portion. The main anode body portion has an arcuate main anode body surface having a radius of curvature slightly larger than the radius of curvature of the drum. The main anode body portion is totally immersed in the electrolytic solution adjacent the drum wherein a generally uniform gap is formed therebetween. The anode extension portion has an anode extension surface facing the drum and at least one opening extending therethrough. The anode extension portion is disposed within the electrolytic solution wherein a portion thereof extends above the electrolytic solution and the electrolytic solution can flow through the opening.

  • Patent number: 4920596
Abstract: A two level car wheel elevating device for elevating the front wheel (146) of a car having a bumper assembly (117) and comprising, first (100), second (102), third (104), and a fourth (106) top level wheel tread segments joined together to form a continuous wheel ramp surface over which the car wheel (146) can travel from ground level (142) to the fourth top level wheel tread segment (106) with a minimum of discontinuities, a pair of vertically positioned sidewalls (108, 110, and 112) positioned on either side of the wheel ramp surface and firmly secured to the wheel ramp surface to support the weight of the front or back car wheels on the wheel ramp surface, the top perimeters (136) of the sidewalls extending above the wheel ramp surface a substantially constant distance to reduce the chance of said front wheel of the car from rolling off the side of the wheel elevating device.
