  • Publication number: 20240105300
Abstract: A facility for causing the refill of prescriptions is described. The facility conducts a conversational exchange with a person. From the exchange, the facility discerns (1) an intent of refilling a prescription, and (2) an identification of a prescription to be fulfilled. In response to this discerning, the facility causes a pharmacy refill order to be placed on behalf of the person for the identified prescription.

  • Patent number: 11913280
Abstract: An apparatus for separating, controlling, and directing a lift cord or lift chain of an architectural opening includes a body structure having first and second upper openings that are separated by an upper medial guide member that protrudes beyond the upper openings A rotatable wheel within a cavity of the body structure is configured to engage a lift cord or lift chain provided as a loop, wherein such engagement allows free passage of first and second segments of the loop through the cavity in opposing directions, while preventing free passage of the first and second segments through the cavity in the same direction. The apparatus may be coupled to a top end of a cord channel enclosure having a slider moveably engaged thereto to actuate the lift cord or lift chain, with a fixed length loop portion of lift cord or lift chain extending upward from the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20240059113
Abstract: A vehicle suspension system includes a wishbone-shaped linkage having a base, with two limbs extending from the base. Each limb is configured to support a laterally and longitudinally oriented bushing assembly, which may include a bushing assembly received by a laterally and longitudinally oriented mounting tube associated with a free end of the limb. The base includes upper and lower plates wrapping only partially around a laterally extending cross tube. A modular bushing assembly including a pair of bushing lobes and a bar pin is partially received within the cross tube, with the bushing lobes being adjustably positioned on the bar pin to allow for adjustment of the conical rate of the bushing assembly. A mounting assembly includes a pair of mount blocks secured to a vehicle axle, with the bar pin being secured with respect to the axle via the mount blocks, thereby associating the linkage to the axle.

  • Patent number: 11824341
Abstract: A dielectric cover for an insulator, supporting a high voltage conductor in an electrical distribution system, has holes for receiving retaining pins. The retaining pins are used to secure the cover over the insulator and conductor. Arched fenders, which may be circular or have a bottom opening, extend out from the cover and overlie the holes and ends of the pins. The fenders prevent birds roosting on the pin, increase the dielectric surface length between the top of the cover and the electrical conductor above the pins, and protect the pins from contamination issues which would reduce the dielectric properties of the pins. Contamination issues include birds defecating on the pins, which can create a conductive path between the bird and the inside of the cover, and atmospheric moisture such as rain, snow, and ice on the pins. Thus, wildlife is protected from electrocution.

  • Patent number: 11756711
Abstract: In one embodiment, a fuse cutout cover has an integral roof portion. The roof portion covers the energized top of a fuse in a first type of cutout. An attachable roof extension covers the energized top of a fuse in a larger second type of cutout. By having the optional roof extension feature, the same cover may be used with two types of cutouts. The roof extension is connected using a cruxiform connector on the bottom surface of the roof portion that tightly fits into a hole in the roof extension. To prevent an air gap between the cruxiform connector and the hole in the roof extension, the bottom of the hole is sealed. This prevents flashovers through the air gap. As a result, electrical insulation between wildlife and the energized cutout is increased.

  • Publication number: 20230230075
Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a system and method for the assignment of access rights and an NFT to a user device. The method includes assigning a non-fungible token (NFT), linked with the access rights, to the account associated with the user device based on the assignment of the access rights from the list of unfilled access rights. The method further includes verifying the validity of the access rights linked with the NFT, when the user device is requesting access to the resource, based on scanning information provided on the access rights and referencing a transaction history of the NFT in the blockchain, and transmitting at least one updated NFT and privilege to access the resource to the user device based on the verification of the access rights linked with the NFT.

  • Patent number: 11651872
Abstract: A plastic retaining pin for being inserted through a retaining hole in a high voltage insulating cover has a compressible nose, with the wide part of the nose being larger than the retaining hole. The pin may be on the order of 3-12 inches long. The other end of the pin has a grasping ring for receiving the hook of a hot stick. Along the length of the body of the pin is a plurality of radial portions (e.g., six or more) extending outward from a centerline of the body. These radial portions may be skirts or ribs having a diameter less than the retaining hole in the cover. The skirts or ribs greatly increase the surface leakage distance along the body of the pin and also prevent conductive liquids flowing along the body, which may lead to a flashover.

  • Patent number: 11621767
Abstract: A method for coordinating Wireless Avionics Intra-Communication (WAIC) communications with a radio altimeter signal includes monitoring a frequency band and recording a sequence of time stamps, each time stamp of the sequence of time stamps corresponding to a time at which a strength of the radio altimeter signal exceeds a threshold signal strength in the frequency band. The method further includes calculating time stamp intervals between successive time stamps to produce a sequence of time stamp intervals, and identifying a pattern of time stamp intervals in the sequence of time stamp intervals. The method further includes coordinating the WAIC communications with the pattern of time stamp intervals to avoid interference with the radio altimeter signal.

  • Patent number: 11604747
Abstract: Systems and methods for communication between heterogenous processors via a virtual network interface implemented via programmable hardware and one or more buses. The programmable hardware may be configured with a multi-function bus such that the programmable hardware appears as both a network device and a programmable device to a host system. Additionally, the programmable hardware may be configured with a second bus to appear as a network device to an embedded system. Each system may implement network drivers to allow access to direct memory access engines configured on the programmable hardware. The configured programmable hardware and the network drivers may enable a virtual network connection between the systems to allow for information transfer via one or more network communication protocols.

  • Publication number: 20220411806
Abstract: Improved production of recombinant proteins in E. coli, reliant on tightly controlled autoinduction, triggered by phosphate depletion in stationary phase. The process also provides an optimized autoinduction media, enabling routine batch production at various culture volumes where cells densities routinely reach ˜5-7 g cell dry weight per liter and offer protein titers above 2 g/L. The methodology has been validated with a set of diverse heterologous proteins and is of general use for the facile optimization of routine protein expression from high throughput screens to fed-batch fermentation.
