  • Patent number: 9275190
Abstract: A method and system for building a statistical four-chamber heart model from 3D volumes is disclosed. In order to generate the four-chamber heart model, each chamber is modeled using an open mesh, with holes at the valves. Based on the image data in one or more 3D volumes, meshes are generated and edited for the left ventricle (LV), left atrium (LA), right ventricle (RV), and right atrium (RA). Resampling to enforce point correspondence is performed during mesh editing. Important anatomic landmarks in the heart are explicitly represented in the four-chamber heart model of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 9154249
Abstract: A sensor network includes a plurality of sensors and a base station for sending a series of data acquisition requests to the sensors. Each data acquisition request has an index. Each sensor has a synchronization calculation module and an internal clock. The sensors are adapted and configured to receive the series of data acquisition requests and record a timestamp of receipt for each data acquisition request. The sensors also store a predefined time interval related to the plurality of data acquisition requests so that the sensor can calculate a time to start collecting data based upon the series of data acquisition requests, the timestamps, the indices, and the predefined time interval. In an alternative embodiment, the base station only sends a general request for data acquisition and a synchronization sensor module receives the general request and, in turn, sends the series of data acquisition requests to the sensors.

  • Publication number: 20150207305
Abstract: A dielectric cover system for an insulator supporting a high voltage conductor is molded to fit over the insulator to cover at least a top portion of the insulator and the conductor in contact with the insulator. A clip internal to the cover allows the cover to be freely placed over the insulator and then effectively restricts an inner diameter of the cover at a reduced diameter neck portion of the insulator, such that the clip blocks the cover from being lifted off the insulator and rotated about the insulator during high wind conditions. The clip is particularly effective where the conductor is supported in a side groove of the insulator, so the insulator and conductor form an asymmetric structure.

  • Publication number: 20150114678
Abstract: A dielectric cover system for an insulator supporting a high voltage conductor is molded to fit over the insulator to cover at least a top portion of the insulator and the conductor in contact with the insulator. A bolt through the cover is inserted to a depth to engage a reduced-diameter neck area of the insulator to prevent the cover from being rotated about the insulator during a high wind condition. Other securing devices may instead be used that allow the cover to be freely placed over the insulator and then effectively restrict an inner diameter of the cover at a reduced diameter portion of the insulator, such that the securing device blocks the cover from being lifted off the insulator and rotated about the insulator.

  • Publication number: 20150116127
Abstract: A sensor node, having a radio frequency (RF) transceiver, receives a data acquisition command from a network controller. The command includes various parameters. The RF transceiver is deactivated and data is obtained based on the parameters included in the command. The RF transceiver is activated and an inquiry message is sent to the network controller requesting the network controller to confirm that an event of interest has occurred during the data acquisition time interval. A subset of the obtained data containing the event of interest is transmitted to the network controller, using the RF transceiver, in response to receiving a confirmation from the network controller that an event of interest has occurred. Otherwise the RF transceiver is deactivated and no data is transmitted, in response to receiving from the network controller a negative acknowledgment message indicating that an event of interest has not occurred during the data acquisition interval.

  • Patent number: 8963011
Abstract: A plastic retaining pin for being inserted through a retaining hole in a high voltage insulating cover has an oval cross-section. The pin has a compressible nose, with the wide part of the nose being larger than the retaining hole. The nose has a relatively long front portion that expands out from the tip at about a 15 degree angle for easy insertion through the retaining hole. A back part of the nose is relatively short and has a relatively steep angle of about 45 degrees so as to require a higher pulling force to compress the nose when removing the pin from the hole. The other end of the pin has a grasping hole for receiving the hook of a hot stick. If the retaining hole is oval, the grasping hole is at a predetermined orientation with respect to the insulating structure to ease removal using a hot stick.

  • Publication number: 20150042978
Abstract: Methods and systems for setting up a wafer inspection process using programmed defects are provided. One method includes altering a design for a dummy area of a production chip such that printing of the dummy area on a wafer results in printing of a variety of defects. Two or more of the defects have different types, one or more different characteristics, different contexts in the design, or a combination thereof. The dummy area printed on a wafer may then be scanned with two or more optical modes of an inspection system to determine which of the optical mode(s) are better for defect detection. Additional areas of the wafer may then be scanned with the optical mode(s) that are better for defect detection to determine noise information. The noise information may then be used to select one or more of the optical modes for use in a wafer inspection process.
