  • Publication number: 20240132051
Abstract: In some implementations, a method may include obtaining target fault data indicating a preselected fault for a vehicle having a hydrogen source. In addition, the method may include obtaining vehicle fault data indicating a fault of the vehicle. The method may include identifying a match between the fault and the preselected fault. Moreover, the method may include purging, in response to the identifying the match, hydrogen from the hydrogen source so as to reduce consequences of a battery thermal event by reducing the likelihood of a hydrogen-fueled fire.

  • Patent number: 6578841
Abstract: Feeder systems are mechanical systems that feed individual sheets of paper to other mechanical devices. Feeder systems need to be able to handle a variety of types of paper with different weights and finishes. Glossy paper has proven difficult to feed because of anti-offset agents used in the printing process. The agents contaminate the rollers in the feeder system causing misfeeds and jams. The present invention is a cleaning apparatus that can be used in conjunction with the feeder system to keep the feeder system free from malfunctions during the processing of glossy paper. The cleaning apparatus includes a cleaning head mounted on a supporting arm. Various types of abrasive cleaning heads can be employed in the cleaning apparatus such as metal blades, meshes and brushes. The cleaning heads keep the rollers operational while minimizing deterioration of the roller.

  • Patent number: 5613802
Abstract: A method for deploying a work object, connected to a control system by an elongated, substantially flexible conduit, relative to a target, the method including the steps of substantially burying the work object in the earth in a predetermined position relative to the target with the conduit extending upwardly from the work object to the surface of the earth; extending the conduit to the control system substantially across the surface of the earth; and covering the portion of the conduit extending across the surface of the earth to conceal its presence. An apparatus for deploying a work object in an operational position, the apparatus having a housing adapted to be positioned beneath the operational position; a member mounted on the housing and adapted to mount the work object for movement to and from the operational position; and a system connected to the housing for moving the work object to and from the operational position.
