  • Patent number: 5135625
Abstract: Apparatus and method are disclosed for polishing the inner surface of a metallic tubing. The apparatus includes a container for retaining electrolytic solution and pump means for circulating the electrolytic solution from the container through the metallic tubing to be cleaned. A dc power supply means is provided having a negative terminal which is coupled to a cathode member of a cathode assembly. The assembly also includes a porous material cover over the cathode member. The cathode assembly is sized for insertion within the tubing without completely blocking the flow of electrolytic solution through the tubing. Clamp means is provided for forming electrical connection between the positive terminal of the dc power supply and the metallic tubing to be cleaned. When the clamp means is secured to the metallic tubing and the cathode member is positioned within the tubing, electropolishing occurs on the inner surface of the tubing.

  • Patent number: 4922940
Abstract: An improved walking assistance device which is also specifically adapted for traversing stairs comprises a rigid intertwined open framework supported by a front and rear pair of legs which permit the device to span multi steps in a stairway. The open framework includes forwardly extending arm rails parallel to the slope of the stairs. Other arm rails support a sling seat for the user person. The device is fitted with appropriate hinges for folding reduction in overall size for more convenient portability.

  • Patent number: 4882019
Abstract: An apparatus and method for polishing a metallic plumbing or electrical fixture, such as a pipe, pipe fitting or electrical bus bar, is provided. The apparatus includes container means for retaining an electrolytic solution and a cathode member. The member is specially designed to accommodate a plumbing fixture having a circular cross-section or an elongate electrical fixture, and is at least partially immersed within the solution. The apparatus also includes dc power supply means having a negative terminal, which is connected to the cathode member, and a positive terminal which is connected to a clamp means. The clamp means is capable of forming an electrical connection with the fixture to be polished. When the clamp means is secured to the fixture and the fixture is positioned near the cathode member, polishing of the fixture occurs.
