Abstract: A method and system for managing services are provided. The services management system includes a main database manager that is communicatively coupled to a plurality of entities in said services management system. The services management system also includes an inventory component configured to receive hardware usage data from said main database manager. The services management system includes a proposal generator configured to receive manual inputs from a user at a work site, said manual inputs comprising at least one of a photo of a scope of work and a graphic icon representing a task, determine information required to generate a proposal, transmit a request to said main database manager for the determined information, receive the requested information, and generate said proposal based on the manual inputs and the received information. The services management system also includes a communication component configured to transmit and track a status of said generated proposal.

Abstract: An electromechanical latch is described herein. The electromechanical latch is a dual-actuator latch, wherein a first actuator and a second actuator are driven with precise timing to move a first latch part relative to a second latch part, and vice versa. When the electromechanical latch is in a closed position, the first rotary latch part is positioned to prevent rotation of the second rotary latch part in a first direction. To transition the electromechanical latch from the closed position to an open position, the first actuator drives the first rotary latch part such that the second rotary latch part is able to rotate in the first direction. Thereafter, the second actuator drives the second rotary latch part in the first direction until the electromechanical latch is in the open position.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for reporting quality of GNSS position fixes. A desired quality mode selection is obtained. Position fixes with respective precision estimates and satellite tracking information are obtained. For each of a plurality of position fixes a current positioning quality is determined, based on the precision estimates and satellite tracking information and quality mode selection. Current positioning quality is reported. The quality selection can be a preference of availability over accuracy, or accuracy over availability, or a balance of availability and accuracy.

Abstract: A system and method for providing land mobile radio (LMR) content using a cellular data network is provided. The method includes communicating the LMR content via at least one of an LMR network and a cellular data network. The method further includes encapsulating the LMR content using a packet switching protocol when communicating the LMR content via the cellular data network.

Abstract: Techniques for sending out-of-band messages from a game networking system are described. For example, a machine identifies a friend of a user of a game networking system. The identifying of the friend may be based at least in part on a game instance of a game provided by the game networking system. The machine selects an out-of-band instant message from a plurality of messages generated by the game networking system. The one or more of the plurality of messages may be transmittable as different message types based on an activity level of the friend of the user with respect to the game networking system. The machine sends the out-of-band instant message to the friend of the user of the game networking system. The out-of-band instant message may include a request that the friend of the user perform an action with respect to the game executing on the game networking system.
