  • Publication number: 20220268092
Abstract: A spacer is provided that is shapable into a spacer frame, and during manufacture of an insulating glass unit, can be mounted on the glass panes. The spacer is formed having an inner surface, an outer surface and two lateral surfaces extending at either side of the spacer from the inner surface to the outer surface, and comprises a profiled body. The profiled body comprises two mutually spaced lateral faces running parallel to its longitudinal direction and a base body that extends between the lateral faces and has an outer and an inner face. The profiled body comprises at least in one part of its volume a quantity of particulate desiccant that is embedded in a plastics material. The spacer is coilable about an axis, perpendicularly to the lateral surfaces, and takes a flexurally rigid form in a plane perpendicular to the lateral surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20210316513
Abstract: A method for producing composite profiles comprises providing a first profile part extending in a longitudinal direction, made from a first plastics material, with a profile region produced from a second plastics material thermally plasticizable at a first temperature, providing a second profile part extending in a longitudinal direction, made from a material not thermally plasticizable at the first temperature, and with a receiving structure formed along the longitudinal direction of the second profile part, with which the profile region of the first profile part is connectible, bringing the profile region of the first profile part into contact with the receiving structure of the second profile part, plasticizing the second plastics material of the profile region by heating to the first temperature and deforming the plasticized profile region while forming a positive engagement between the profile region and the receiving structure while maintaining the geometry of the receiving structure.

  • Publication number: 20210276263
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device (1) for the additive manufacturing of a three-dimensional object (2) from a high-temperature polymer material. The method comprises the steps of plasticating a high-temperature polymer material above the melting temperature (TS) of the high-temperature polymer material, and cooling the plasticated high-temperature plastic to a processing temperature (TV) which lies above a crystallization temperature (TK) of the high-temperature plastic and which lies below a permissible temperature maximum value (TL) of the critical device components within a device (1) for the additive manufacturing of the three-dimensional object (2) from the high-temperature polymer material or below the melting temperature (TS) of the high-temperature polymer material. This is followed by the additive manufacturing of the three-dimensional object (2) from the plasticated high-temperature polymer material cooled to the processing temperature.

  • Patent number: 10975610
Abstract: A method for producing insulating profiles comprises manufacturing a profile body and a first functional element separately, and the profile body and the first functional element are supplied to an ultrasonic welding device, wherein the profile body and the functional element are connected to one another by a material bond by formation of a welded joint. The profile body and the functional element are brought together into a predetermined first cross-sectional geometry during formation of the welded joint and are thereafter guided in this cross-sectional geometry until the plastics material of the welded joint solidifies to such an extent that the profile body and the first functional element are fixed in the predetermined cross-sectional geometry.

  • Patent number: 10694938
Abstract: The invention relates to a new type of measurement method for automatically recording and evaluating the Purkinje reflections of an eye in order to determine the malposition (decentration and tilt) of intraocular or natural lenses and to a device for applying said method. According to the invention, the eye is systematically illuminated from different directions and, by means of linear regression, the relative lens orientation is extracted from the position of the Pukinje reflections thus produced.
