  • Patent number: 11995501
Abstract: An RFID system comprises an array of antennas each configured to emit a plurality of beams in different directions. The beams of each pair of adjacent antennas are directed towards one another and overlap. A pair of adjacent antennas transmits simultaneously and the overlapping beams interfere to create an interference pattern. An RFID reader controls the relative phase and/or frequency of the beams to move the interference pattern to read an RFID tag within the moving pattern. As the chance of a RFID tag responding to an emitted beam generally increases with signal strength of the reader beam an area of constructive interference means that RFID tags in that region are more likely to respond to the signal. The system can cover a large proportion of the area below ceiling-mounted antennas, where cover generally means that RFID tags in that area will be successfully read.

  • Patent number: 11924132
Abstract: A communication device comprises a receiver including at least two receive antennas and configured to receive at least one reference signal of a plurality of reference signals, each reference signal being transmitted from at least one base station at a predefined reference signal transmission time; a controller configured to switch between at least two receive configurations of the at least two antennas during a reception period of the at least one reference signal; and a signal quality determiner configured to determine a parameter indicative of a first signal quality of the received reference signal for each receive configuration.

  • Patent number: 11799403
Abstract: An electric motor for a vehicle includes a stator, a rotor and a plurality of independent bridge drivers. Each bridge driver supplies a portion of current to the electric motor. There may be a phase shift between each independent bridge driver. Optionally, each bridge driver delivers current at a slew rate that is different from each other independent bridge driver.

  • Patent number: 9260825
Abstract: The invention relates to a road-building machine, comprising a drivable chassis (1) on which a driver's cab (3) having a control panel (2) is provided. A canopy (5) that is fixed to the chassis by at least one support (6) is arranged above the driver's cab, wherein at least one support (6) is adjustably arranged on the chassis (1) such that the canopy (5) can be lowered for a transport position and raised for a working position. For a working position with reduced set-up height, the lowered canopy (5) forms a free space (9) for an operator in the region of the control panel (2) of the driver's cab (3), wherefore a canopy section covering the control panel (2) is designed such as to be movable relative to the chassis (1).
