  • Publication number: 20230254033
Abstract: A space system operates to: receive, via a network interface, communication conditions data and space system data, wherein the space system data includes space object data corresponding to a plurality of space objects and a plurality of space clients and wherein the communication conditions data includes weather service data indicating atmospheric conditions adverse to space communications; generate, responsive to the communications condition data and the space systems data, interference prediction data that indicates at least one predicted interference condition corresponding to communications corresponding to at least one of the plurality of space objects; generate, responsive to the interference prediction data, one or more interference alerts indicating the at least one predicted interference condition at the at least one of the plurality of space objects; and send, via the network interface, the one or more interference alerts to one or more of the plurality of space clients.

  • Publication number: 20070220109
Abstract: A method and apparatus for enhancing the current data communication capabilities of the North American Terrestrial System (NATS) Network is presented. In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, an airborne data server (ADS) is added to the airborne architecture of the current NATS Network and a ground data gateway (GDG) is added to the ground-based architecture of the current NATS Network. The ADS functions as a router/gateway connected to many local area networks (LANs) aboard the aircraft. The ADS provides for the automation of data services such as scheduling, routing and translation. The GDG is the central hub for the network and dispatcher of data to customer premises or to the aircraft.

  • Publication number: 20050220055
Abstract: A method and system provide efficient, flexible, and convenient data communication services for users over public wireless systems. The system includes a data communication server, having a plurality of interface units, for facilitating data communication between a moving object and one or more ground terminals via a radio communication path. The data communication server establishes the radio communication path over one of a plurality of wireless data networks including packet data networks and satellite data networks and preferably includes a pre-determined software architecture.

  • Publication number: 20050021202
Abstract: An exemplary method for processing and outputting video frames includes receiving a stream of video frames, inserting geo-location data into a video frame to generate a modified video frame, and outputting the modified video frame. An exemplary system includes an antenna which receives a stream of video frames, a processor which inserts geo-location data into a video frame to generate a modified video frame, and an output for outputting the modified video frame.
