  • Patent number: 11952302
Abstract: A process for the production of a fluorinated quartz glass including the steps of generating SiO2 particles in a synthesis burner; depositing the resulting SiO2 particles into a body; and vitrifying the resulting body, wherein a fluorinating agent having a boiling point greater than or equal to ?10° C. is supplied to the synthesis burner.

  • Publication number: 20230339535
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for reducing loads in a steering system in particular during an operation in a vehicle, wherein a load caused by an external application of force on the steering system is determined and at least partially compensated in at least one operating state by controlling an actuator unit, and wherein the actuator unit is controlled in the operating state in such a way that an inertia effect of the steering system correlating with the external application of force is reduced.

  • Patent number: 10106855
Abstract: The presently disclosed subject matter provides a genetic assay to determine the prognosis in Polycythemia Vera (PV) patients with an indolent form of PV. This assay involves measuring certain messenger RNAs (mRNAs) in blood cells, such as white blood cells. In some embodiments, the cells are CD34+ cells. These mRNA levels are inserted into an algorithm that yields a predictive score of the risk of PV in the patient transforming from an indolent form to an aggressive form.

  • Patent number: 8348009
Abstract: A steering device, in particular an electric power-steering device for a motor vehicle, comprising an axially parallel drive which has a steering gearbox housing, a steering axle, a steering element, and at least one axle steering mechanism connected to the steering element, having a motor unit disposed on the steering gearbox housing, having a servo gearbox disposed in a gearbox cover and having a control unit for the motor unit, which is disposed in a control device housing. The control device housing of the control unit is disposed on one axially parallel side of the servo gearbox, and a motor housing of the motor unit is disposed on the other axially parallel side of the servo gearbox.

  • Publication number: 20090146522
Abstract: An electric servomotor for a power-assisted steering system in a vehicle has a stator laminated core having an outer diameter and an active length. In order to provide an electric servomotor for a power-assisted steering system that has an optimum diameter/length ratio and that covers a steering performance range from compact cars to full-size vehicles using a reasonable change in volume, it is provided that, with a constant outer diameter, the ratio of the outer diameter to the active length of the stator laminated core can be varied such that the electric servomotor can be used for power-assisted steering systems for compact cars up to full-size cars and the outer diameter is constant.

  • Publication number: 20060170415
Abstract: A device is for measuring an angular movement in a vehicle steering system. A shaft, whose angular movement is to be measured, is rotationally mounted in a frame. Positioned on the shaft is an axially displaceable element, which is connected to the shaft via a geared connection that converts the angular movement of the shaft into a longitudinal movement. The geared connection may be a screw thread or a screw-like, sliding-block guide or a recirculating ball screw, etc. The axially displaceable element is axially guided with the aid of a longitudinal guide prestressed in the radial direction and, in particular, by a frame-side component of the longitudinal guide. A detection device made up of a transducer on the axially displaceable element and a sensor on the frame detects the longitudinal movement of the axially displaceable element.
