  • Publication number: 20240056437
Abstract: Methods for providing two-factor authentication having identification-obfuscated authentication flow prevents the sending and receiving of a user identification along with a password. An authentication server receives the user identification and generates a graphical code having a unique session code or a PIN code. The unique session code or the PIN code are stored at the authentication server with the user identification. The appropriate code is sent to the device. The device captures the graphical code or the PIN code. The captured code is sent with the password for the user account to the authentication server. The authentication server authenticates that the user identification based on the password is associated with the session code or the PIN code.

  • Publication number: 20230419299
Abstract: An identification card registration system uses a cloud-based server to authenticate and register an identification card from a user. A device captures card data for the identification card and transaction information generated at the device. The card data and transaction information is sent to the cloud-based server as a primary notification for registering the identification card. The cloud-based server sends an alert to an administrator to approve or decline the registration. During the approval process, the identification card subsequently is used at the device or another device. The cloud-based server provides notice that the identification card is awaiting approval and takes corrective action after too many registration attempts are tracked.

  • Patent number: 11556292
Abstract: A policy-based printing system is implemented to allow access to a private domain to print using a public domain. The private domain includes private servers that store documents. The public domain includes servers and a printing device. A public policy server uses a domain list and a protocol connection with a private authentication server to validate a user and identify which private domain to access. The public policy server receives requests from the printing device to process a print job of a document in the private domain. The private server processes the requests using the policy and a ledger to determine whether to allow the print job to the printing device. If a parameter of the policy is exceeded, then the private server allows an overage for the parameter so that the document is accessed.

  • Patent number: 11477345
Abstract: A printing device is implemented to activate a hidden function by inputting tap sequences on a tap screen. The hidden function includes displaying an icon of a title of a secret document on a display screen without showing the content of the secret document. A method for activating the hidden function using tap sequences is also disclosed. The method compares the input tap sequences with a plurality sets of predetermined codes, each of which corresponds to a hidden function. When the input tap sequences match one set of predetermined codes, the method activates and executes the hidden function. By executing the hidden function, the secret document is printed. The tap sequences are tapping actions that do not generate tangible symbols that are reviewable on the tap screen. By doing so, the confidential document is further protected.
