  • Publication number: 20020140287
Abstract: A wear guard which prevents debris from entering a final drive assembly of a waste handling machine. The wear guard allows for easy inspection and cleaning of debris from the final drive assembly via an inspection port without the need for removing the entire drive assembly and other components. The wear guard is also designed to be installed on different types of final drive assemblies thus providing great design flexibility. This is provided via the use of spacers. The wear guard has a readily accessible lifting point requiring no special tooling. The wear guard also eliminates many of the distortion problems caused by welding while also reducing machining, dimension control and providing improved appearance.

  • Patent number: 5139317
Abstract: A track guiding apparatus (10) for guiding the track links (22) of a moving undercarriage system (12) of a track-type vehicle having a track roller frame (18) and a plurality of track rollers (20) includes a support bracket assembly (14) secured to the roller frame (18) and a plurality of guide bars (16) secured to the support bracket assembly (14). Each of the guide bars (16) has a contact surface (50, 52) adapted to contact a hardened rail portion (56) of the track links (22) when the links (22) are moved laterally. The track guiding apparatus (10) prevents de-railing of the track links (22) from the track rollers (20) due to irregular ground conditions or when foreign material becomes lodged between the rollers (20) and the links (22).

  • Patent number: 4622805
Abstract: A header frame for a combine harvester having a linkage connection between the crop reel and the auger, whereby the auger may be automatically and mechanically raised from the header floor by raising the reel for purposes of unplugging wedged crop material. The linkage includes a lost-motion connection so that the reel can be moved vertically as required during harvesting without affecting the auger, and the auger is also capable of floating action during operation. A sprocket and chain drive for the auger includes a spring-biased idler sprocket for maintaining proper chain tension and uninterrupted operation of the auger at all times. An adjustable wedge is also provided for fixing and limiting the minimum spacing between the auger and the header floor.
