  • Patent number: 11650867
Abstract: In some implementations, a user device may access a media presentation that includes metadata describing related content item(s). The user device viewing the media presentation is allowed to access content related to portions of the media presentation at times appropriate for the particular related content item(s). The related content item(s) may be provided automatically or based on user input triggering download or copying of a particular related content item, such as to a clipboard of the user device. A computing device may generate a media presentation that includes related content item(s) as metadata in some implementations. The media presentation may be generated by recording a live presentation, assembling one or more media portions, and/or obtaining a complete media presentation and modifying the media presentation to add the related content item(s) and when, while presenting the media presentation on a user device, to allow access to the related content item(s).

  • Patent number: 9841864
Abstract: A method of defining a dynamically adjustable user interface (“UI”) of a device is described. The method defines multiple UI elements for the UI, where each UI element includes multiple pixels. The method defines a display adjustment tool for receiving a single display adjustment parameter and in response adjusting the appearance of the UI by differentiating display adjustments to a first set of saturated pixels from the display adjustments to a second set of non-saturated pixels.

  • Patent number: 9014544
Abstract: A novel method for creating multimedia presentations in a media editing application is provided. The method selects a portion of a media clip and retimes the selected portion of the media clip from a first playback speed to a second playback speed. The method defines a transition interval for a discontinuity between a first section of the media clip with the first playback speed and a second section of the media clip with the second playback speed. The media clip is played back according to a smoothed curve that is constrained by the transition interval, the first playback speed, and the second playback speed. The smoothed curve transitions gradually from the first playback speed at the start of the transition interval to the second playback speed at the end of the transition interval.

  • Publication number: 20140215375
Abstract: Presenting shortcuts to provide computer software commands. A user interface associated with a computer software application, which includes multiple portions, is displayed. Each portion is associated with a command to perform an operation of the application in response to the command. In response to a selection of a particular portion of the user interface, another user interface is displayed. In the other user interface, a name of a particular command and a keyboard shortcut key selectable to perform an operation in response to the particular command are displayed. Additionally, a virtual keyboard that includes multiple alphanumeric keys, including the keyboard shortcut key, is displayed in the other user interface. The keyboard shortcut key is displayed on the virtual keyboard to be visually distinct from remaining alphanumeric keys on the virtual keyboard.

  • Publication number: 20140111534
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a media editing application for generating and editing shadows. The media editing application provides a set of editing tools for creating a composite presentation from first and second media clips, and a preview display area for displaying a preview of the composite presentation. In some embodiments, the media editing application provides a shadow generation tool for generating a shadow for the second media clip and displaying the shadow in the preview display area. The shadow is composited with the first and second media clips to create the composite presentation. The shadow projection tool of some embodiments includes a set of on-image controls for display in the preview display area near the second media clip. The set of on-image controls can be moved on the preview display to modify a set of attributes of the shadow.

  • Publication number: 20140101552
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a computer readable medium storing a media editing application for creating multimedia presentations. The application includes a graphical user interface (GUI). The GUI includes a composite display area for displaying graphical representations of a set of media clips that are part of a composite presentation. Each graphical representation of a particular media clip is assigned to a particular row in the composite display area, where each row corresponds to a particular track in the composite presentation. Some embodiments of the GUI include a compression tool for assigning the graphical representations to new rows so as to reduce blank space in the composite display area, where the assignment of the graphical representations to new rows eliminates the correspondence between the rows and the tracks. Some embodiments include a collapsing tool for reducing a size of graphical representations in the composite display area.

  • Publication number: 20140059436
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a media editing application. The application places several committed media clips in a composite display area to specify a description of a composite presentation. In response to receiving a request to create a new version for a first media clip placed at a particular location in the composite display area, the application creates an audition set at the particular location in the composite display area. The application creates a second media clip from the first media clip. The application adds the first and second media clips to the audition set. At least one of the first and second media clips is a candidate media clip that is insertable at the location in the composite display area but is not a media clip that has been committed for inclusion in the description of the composite presentation.
