The spray devices can be configured with a low profile, and with spray patterns that minimize water requirements while directing sufficient water at the underside of the vehicle to cool the vehicle battery and prevent, or extinguish battery fires.

The systems can include a carriage, and a trolley mounted on the carriage for holding the object and moving the object linearly in relation to the carriage, so that the object can be stowed in locations such as on the roof of a fire engine or other emergency vehicle, or the roof of a stationary structure. The systems can further include a handle assembly that permits a user to move the trolley while the user is standing on the ground. The handle system is configured to secure the trolley in a stowed position, and allows the user to release the carriage from its stowed position.

The bracket system is configured to articulate in a manner that positions the article of equipment in a lowered position at which the article of equipment has an upright orientation, facing the user, so that the user can retrieve the article of equipment.

The clamping assembly further includes a mechanical lock-out mechanism including a lock-out member moveable between an open position wherein the clamping member is free to pivot to the releasing position and a closed position wherein the lock-out member engages a portion of the clamping member and prevents pivoting thereof. The lock-out member is biased to the open position but moves to the closed position upon application of a high lateral force.
