  • Patent number: 10943316
Abstract: A vacancy identification (VI) computing device is provided. The VI computing device includes a processor in communication with a memory. The processor generates a storefront profile including a status indicator for a candidate storefront located at a commercial property, stores the storefront profile within the memory, and registers a user to receive notifications for the candidate storefront. The processor also receives transaction data associated with the candidate storefront for a predetermined period of time, determines that the candidate storefront is vacant based on the transaction data, updates the status indicator to indicate that the candidate storefront is vacant, and transmits a notification to the registered user advising the registered user that the candidate storefront is vacant.

  • Patent number: 10242363
Abstract: A computer-based method for authenticating a suspect consumer as an authorized cardholder during a payment card transaction is provided. The method includes registering the authorized cardholder within a portable computer device by receiving a reference sample of the authorized cardholder. The portable computer device includes a processor, a memory, and a camera. The method also includes storing, in the memory, the reference sample of the authorized cardholder and associated payment card information. The method further includes using the camera to capture a transaction sample of the suspect consumer during the payment card transaction using the camera. The method also includes comparing, by the processor, the transaction sample to the reference sample stored in the memory. The method further includes authenticating the suspect consumer as the authorized cardholder based at least in part on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 6019138
Abstract: A method of making a three-dimensional stiffener having at least one wall (6, 8) extending outwardly from a generally planar base portion (4) comprises the steps of forming the base portion by weaving at least two layers (16, 18) using orthogonally disposed first and second yarn lengths (10, 12) and using a third plurality of yarn lengths (14) located within planes extending perpendicularly to the general plane of said stiffener. Each of said plurality of yarn lengths in said third pluratlity is woven between the topmost and bottommost ones (10, 12) of said plurality of first and second orthogonally disposed first and second yarn lengths. At least one stiffener wall (6) extending orthogonally to said plane is formed by overweaving along a given section of said planar portion and in a direction perpendicular to said general plane of said stiffener coincident with a section of one of said plurality of first and second yarn lengths.

  • Patent number: 5806204
Abstract: A material drying apparatus having a sealable chamber for receipt of wet material, such as clothing. In this embodiment clothing placed into the chamber is dried upon the evacuation of air from the chamber wherein moisture drawn from the clothes is condensed on a condensate coil placed in the chamber. Heating coils placed around the chamber elevate the temperature to enhance condensate operation providing an energy efficient material dryer requiring no make-up air. Condensed water is purged after the drying process although provisions provide for an interim purge should excess liquid be drawn from the material.
