  • Patent number: 7227741
Abstract: A cover for a notebook type computer, and a method of making same. The cover comprises a stiff metal body covered by a cosmetic shell. The body and shell are adhered together to form a composite cover. All force bearing elements, such as hinges and latches, are attached to the body, such that the shell need not endure applied force during use of the computer.

  • Patent number: 6505487
Abstract: A locking device (1) includes a first clip member (20) and a second clip member (40). The first and second clip members (20, 40) include a first and second clip base (21, 41), respectively. A first jaw (22) extends outwardly from the first clip base (21) whereas a second jaw (42) extends outwardly from the second clip base (41). The first and second clip members (20, 40) are connected together so that they may move with respect to each other between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the first and second jaws (22, 42) cooperate to form a locking loop (6). The locking loop (6) is adapted to fit through and lock with a locking feature (32) on an object to be secured. When the first and second clip members (20, 40) are moved to the open position, the first and second jaws (22, 42) are separated by an opening.

  • Patent number: 6393875
Abstract: A portable projection lock receiver (10) includes a shackle portion (12) adapted to fit through an opening (38) on the device to be secured. The shackle portion (12) of the projection lock receiver (10) has an open section (18) and a first opening (30) formed at one end. A closure member (14) associated with the shackle includes a second opening (28) which may be aligned with the first opening (30). In this aligned position, the closure member (14) closes the shackle open section (18) and the two aligned openings (28, 30) together form a projection lock receptacle. This projection lock receptacle is conformed to receive and retain a suitably sized projection portion of a projection lock.
