  • Patent number: 11547788
Abstract: A system and method for automatically removing by suction urine voided by a female. The system includes an integrated external catheter and suction regulator unit. The external catheter is applied at the female's urethra opening to receive urine voided by the female. The suction regulator is connected to a receptacle for collecting the urine and is operative to regulate suction applied to the canister from a hospitals' suction line to a regulated value which is applied the external female catheter, whereupon urine from the external female catheter is carried by the regulated suction through the suction regulator and into the receptacle. The external catheter includes an internal suction tube and an external removable and replaceable liquid permeable cover located on the internal suction tube. The external catheter is malleable so that it can be conformed to the anatomy of the female.

  • Publication number: 20210353198
Abstract: A hydrogel pad is configured for use with an electrode or a wearable device to measure vital signs of a patient. The hydrogel pad includes a flexible support having one or more openings in which hydrogel is disposed. A membrane covers one side of the hydrogel to protect it from gaining or losing too much moisture. A removable backing covers the other side of the hydrogel until it is applied to a patient, at which point the other side contacts the patient's skin. The protective membrane can be pierced by an angular conductive contact of a device to contact the hydrogel creating an electric conduit between the patient and the device. When the device is removed, the membrane at least partially closes to cover and protect the hydrogel.

  • Publication number: 20210023279
Abstract: System and methods for automatically removing by suction urine voided by a patient, e.g., a female. The systems include an external catheter, a suction canister and a sound suppressed suction regulator. The suction regulator and canister may form an integral unit. The external catheter is applied at the urethra opening to receive urine voided by the patient. The suction canister collects the urine and is coupled to a source of suction providing suction having a first value. The suction regulator is interposed between the external catheter and the canister to regulate the amount of suction to a regulated value which is applied the external catheter to carry urine from the external catheter into the canister. The suction regulator includes passageways through it that do not form a tortuous path so that noise is not generated by the air flow through those passageways.

  • Patent number: 10880763
Abstract: A computer-automated maintaining a physical configuration of an antenna operating within radio access network (RAN) of a mobile wireless network is described. A feature subset of a covering set of features for the antenna is specified. A centroid is generated for the antenna, wherein the centroid comprises a current long-term values of the feature subset obtained by processing multiple data sets for the feature subset over a relatively long time period. An antenna change detection decision is rendered, wherein the rendering an antenna change detection decision comprises first applying a current short-term values of the feature subset, which are representative of a current status of the antenna, to the centroid to render a current distance from centroid. In accordance with detecting an antenna change event during the applying, an antenna change event notification is issued that corresponds to the detected antenna change event.
