  • Publication number: 20240157693
Abstract: Techniques for providing a carbon composite component involve providing a first carbon composite layer having carbon fibers extending along the first carbon composite layer. The techniques further involve providing a second carbon composite layer in contact with the first carbon composite layer, the second carbon composite layer having upright carbon fibers. The techniques further involve providing a third carbon composite layer in contact with the second carbon composite layer, the third carbon composite layer having carbon fibers extending along the third carbon composite layer. The carbon composite layer having upright carbon fibers increases the interlaminar strength of the resulting structure thus providing strength in all dimensions/directions and alleviating the need for additional fasteners and/or 3D carbon/carbon.

  • Publication number: 20240154435
Abstract: An indexed sequence of bits in a buffer is allocated for tracking a battery charging state. The indexed sequence of bits has a first number of bits. A battery voltage of a rechargeable battery is sampled at a sampling rate. For each sampled battery voltage, the battery voltage is compared with a voltage threshold. A next bit position in the indexed sequence of bits is identified. In accordance with a determination that a comparison result is true, a predefined first value is added to the next bit position. A second number of bits that are filled with the predefined first value is determined. A ratio between the second number and the first number is also determined. In accordance with a determination that the ratio exceeds a threshold step-down ratio, a battery charge voltage is stepped down. The rechargeable battery is charged to a step-down voltage.

  • Patent number: 11977659
Abstract: An IoT/M2M service layer may be provided with the capability to protect user privacy. This functionality may allow the IoT/M2M service layer to anonymize user data, particularly when user data is shared with third party consumers. A privacy policy service may enable the IoT service layer system to generate anonymization (e.g., privacy) policies based on inputs such as legal obligations, subscriber privacy preferences, and an authorization level of the data consumer. Data anonymization policies may be output from the privacy policy service and may be sent to a data anonymization service, where raw data may be anonymized based on the one or more data anonymization policies. The output from the data anonymization service function may be a privatized (e.g., anonymized) version of data that may prevent the data consumer from discovering one or more identifying characteristics of a user.

  • Patent number: 11976610
Abstract: A constant density heat exchanger and method of operating are provided. The constant density heat exchanger includes a housing extending between a first end and a second end and defining a chamber having an inlet and an outlet. A first plate is positioned at the first end of the housing and rotatable about an axis of rotation such that the first plate selectively allows a working fluid to flow into the inlet of the chamber. A second plate is positioned at the second end of the housing and rotatable about the axis of rotation such that the second plate selectively allows the working fluid to flow out of the outlet of the chamber. The first plate and the second plate are rotatable about the axis of rotation so as to hold a volume of the working fluid at constant density as a heat source imparts thermal energy thereto.
