Abstract: A crop harvester is operable to separate grain from severed crop material and broadly includes a threshing rotor, cleaning shoe, and separator pan. The separator pan is interposed between the threshing rotor and the cleaning shoe. The separator pan includes a floor and an air deflector. The floor is configured to urge separated grain on the floor forwardly while allowing a rearward air stream between the floor and rotor to carry material other than grain rearwardly. The air deflector is positioned relative to the floor to direct the rearward air stream above the floor and thereby permit forward grain movement along the pan.

Abstract: A combine harvester including a frame, threshing apparatus, a grain cleaning system, and a feederhouse pivotally mounted to the frame on a transverse lift axis. The feederhouse includes a conveyor for conveying cut crop material from a fore opening to an aft opening. The feederhouse is configured to support a cutting header at its forward end. The grain cleaning system includes a transverse cross-flow fan having a debris screen protecting an air inlet channel. The debris screen is pivotally mounted along a first transverse edge to the frame and along a second transverse edge to the underside of the feederhouse. One of the first transverse edge and second transverse edge is slideably mounted to the frame or feederhouse respectively to permit the feederhouse to be raised and lowered around the lift axis.

Abstract: A combine harvester has a threshing mechanism for threshing grain and cleaning apparatus for removing chaff from the threshed grain. The threshing mechanism includes a rotor and a plurality of concaves and the cleaning apparatus includes and upper chaffer and a lower sieve. A blower provides cleaning air to the combine harvester. The blower is situated in a blower housing having a first cut off plate separating high-velocity air coming from the blower and directing a first portion of the high-velocity air to a lower duct that provides an airstream to the upper chaffer and lower sieve. The blower housing also has a second cut off plate directing a second portion of the high-velocity air to an upper duct that provides an airstream under the concaves. A leading portion of the second cut off plate contains a rolled edge along the width of the upper duct.
