  • Patent number: 6183414
Abstract: A technique for overcoming male impotence when this condition is due to a loss of plasticity in the tissues of the male organ, making it incapable of achieving and maintaining an erectile state. To practice this technique, the male organ to be treated is engaged by an erectile enhancement device which in the course of each operating cycle compels the organ to change from a flaccid to an erectile state and then revert to the flaccid state. The device is programmed to repeat this operating cycle a predetermined number of times during an exercise session that subjects the male organ to a workout that enhances the plasticity of the tissues. Impotence is overcome when the individual completes a series of such exercise sessions.

  • Patent number: 6031002
Abstract: A method for enhancing female sexual response in which topically administered to the clitoris of the female subject and the surrounding tissue is a pharmaceutically-acceptable composition whose primary agent is a vasodilator, such as prostaglandin and whose secondary agent is a carrier therefor to deliver it to the clitoris and the surrounding tissue so that it is retained thereby.

  • Patent number: 4532122
Abstract: A novel method has been developed for improved chemotherapy of animals infected with African trypanosomiasis. The method involves the concurrent administration of therapeutically effective amounts of cis-diamminedichloroplatinum (II) and bis-(diethylthiocarbamoyl)disulfide (disulfiram) or diethyl dithiocarbamate to the hydrated animal.

  • Patent number: 4415565
Abstract: The silver salt of metachloridine has been shown to have marked effectives against viruses, bacteria, fungi and protozoa. It is active against the organisms over a considerable concentration range in vitro, and has a noteworthy, high chemotherapeutic index when administered to animals by topical, oral or parenteral route. In addition to its effectiveness, silver metachloridine has been shown to be well tolerated at levels far above those required for therapeutic uses in animals.

  • Patent number: 4020150
Abstract: Silver sulfadiazine has been found to be therapeutically useful when administered orally or subcutaneously in doses not exceeding 1,050 mg/kg. It also has been found that radioactive derivatives of silver sulfadiazine localize in tumors, the resultant radiation within the region of the tumor serving to eradicate malignant cells.
