  • Publication number: 20230325828
Abstract: A device for authenticating a first vehicle for a function is provided. The device is configured to determine an attribute codeword dependent on a vehicle attribute of the first vehicle and to compare the attribute codeword with a plurality of different reference codewords for a corresponding plurality of different vehicles. The device is further configured to determine, on the basis of the comparisons, whether or not the first vehicle is authenticated for the function.

  • Publication number: 20210122241
Abstract: A device for a seat, includes: a docking unit that is designed for connection to a mobile terminal in order to allow a data transfer from the mobile terminal to at least one media unit; and a control unit that is designed to record at least one context parameter that specifies a current surroundings situation of the device; and to actuate at least one functional unit based on the at least one context parameter in order to adjust a setting of the at least one functional unit to the current surroundings situation such that a user is able to use the at least one media unit.

  • Publication number: 20210053583
Abstract: A method expands a first digital appointment calendar having appointments to include driving time periods for automated driving. A driving demand for a person is determined. The person is, for example, the person who maintains the first digital appointment calendar as a personal appointment calendar. The driving demand can be determined, for example, by analyzing data of the first appointment calendar in such a way that, for each of one or more individual appointments, a journey demand corresponding to the driving demand, for the journey to the appointment in question, is determined. On the basis of the determined driving demand, a trip of said person with a motor vehicle designed for automated driving is planned. One or more trip segments for automated driving on the planned trip are determined. On the basis of the one or more determined trip segments for automated driving, one or more driving time periods for automated driving are determined.

  • Patent number: 10356846
Abstract: An ultra-small cell base station for a vehicle is coupleable, for signal exchange, to a first antenna assembly, which is configured to receive radio signals of a cellular radio user device situated inside the vehicle and to emit radio signals to be received by the user device. The ultra-small cell base station is also coupleable to a second antenna assembly, configured to receive radio signals of a further cellular radio user device situated outside the vehicle and to emit radio signals to be received by the further user device. The ultra-small cell base station is also coupleable to a network-side antenna assembly of the vehicle configured to receive radio signals emitted by a pre-defined static cellular radio base station and to emit radio signals to be received by the static base station. The ultra-small cell base station is configured to operate a first and a second small cell.

  • Publication number: 20140031023
Abstract: A communication device for a vehicle has a programmable memory circuit into which access data of a service provider is programmed for the purpose of establishing communication via one of the communication channels provided by the service provider. The communication device has a transmission and/or receiving device to transmit and receive data via the communication channel. Access data of the service provider intended to be programmed into the programmable memory circuit is received by the transmission and/or receiving device, and made available by the same for the purpose of being programmed into the programmable memory circuit.

  • Patent number: 6600986
Abstract: A method for the longitudinal control of a vehicle, in which information of a navigation system is detected and in which, as a function of the information of the navigation system, a desired value of at least one parameter for the longitudinal control is defined, during a longitudinal control operation, on the basis of a defined desired distance from a preceding vehicle by means of information of the navigation system. The probability is determined with which the preceding vehicle and/or the own vehicle is cornering when the preceding vehicle is no longer detected. A longitudinal acceleration takes place in a time-delayed manner when the probability is greater than a defined threshold.
