  • Publication number: 20100146110
Abstract: A method for collecting human experience analytics data for visitors browsing a Web site and a web analytics data collection engine are disclosed. The method comprises the steps of registering an action performed by a visitor browsing the Web site, categorizing said registered action as a navigation action between web pages of the Web site and/or as an event action within a web page of the Web site. In the case that the registered action is categorized as an event action, the event is associated with a web page of the Web site, and the action is recorded as an event within the associated web page. In the case that the registered action is categorized as a navigation action, the action is either recorded as a navigation from a current web page to a subsequent web page, or recording of the action is cancelled, based on previously defined criteria. Finally, the recorded events and navigations are stored in a data storage facility.

  • Publication number: 20060289422
Abstract: An electric circuit for wiring at least one heating element has a first and a second selector switch (2, 3), which has a neutral position (3a) and at least one non-fixable switching position (3b, 3c), a relay (4), which has a relay-actuated contact (5) that is open when the relay (4) is disconnected from the supply voltage and which is closed when the relay (4) is acted on by the supply voltage, and a thermal switch (9) which is in contact with the heating element (7) and opens when a predetermined temperature has been reached, where the relay (4) and the thermal switch (9) are connected in series. When the contact (5) is closed, the heating element (7) is acted on by the supply voltage. Setting the selector switch (2, 3) to the first non-fixable switching position (3b) causes the relay (4) to change the switching status of the contact (5) from open to closed or vice versa.

  • Patent number: 7110910
Abstract: A method and apparatus for automating the measurement of straightness of linear stock material produced by the operation of a mill. As the linear stock material exits from the mill, sensors acquire a sequence of image or distance measurement pairs associated with the material at discrete longitudinal points over a segment of the material. A processing system utilizes the data pairs to determine a set of centroids for a segment of the material. A virtual axis is identified between centroids associated with the segment, and the processing system determines a measure of deviation of each remaining centroid in a segment from the virtual axis to identify a degree of concavity of the material within the segment, as well as to identify a measure of the angular orientation of the concavity about the virtual axis.

  • Publication number: 20020071559
Abstract: Method and apparatus for preventing illegal copying of copyright material. Encrypted data is transmitted from a first computer to a second computer, and the decryption key has to be requested each time the user want to gain access to the data in an unencrypted form. The encryption key is subsequently rendered unfit for use and/or the decrypted data is rendered unfit for use. The decryption key may be stored in a non-accessible part of a hardware processor of the second computer. Access to the data in an unencrypted form, e.g. the number of copies, may thus be controlled. Further, a method of distributing electronic data from a number of publishers to a number of recipients. Each publisher makes data available from e.g. a web site, and the recipients may purchase the data via a global computer network. The data is distributed in a safe manner as described above. Makes it possible to publish small editions of data while still protecting the copyright.
