Publication number: 20240076891Abstract: A system for basing drones is described. A network of geographically diverse hangars provides storage and charging locations as well as backhaul communications infrastructure and video monitoring. As drones are needed, a central command point tasks an available drone, which may or may not already be located in proximity to a target. If additional drones are needed, drones can be flown to the area of interest and continuous coverage provided by charging drones while an active drone is conducting the mission, then rotating charged drones into the active mission. Structures for the hangars, the overall system, and methods of operation are described.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 6, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Inventors: Gregory Lester Waters, Adam George Mirza, Dan William Nobbe, Matthew T. Kling, Gary Michael Shapiro, Alden Hayden Kelsey

Publication number: 20230196288Abstract: A system and a method provide a lead verification service. A lead generator contacts a verification server when a visitor lands on a hosting site of the lead generator to enter lead information into a form. The verification server issues a reference key (token) to the lead generator and collects information about the visitor and the hosting site of the lead generator, using the reference key to identify the collected information. When the visitor submits the form, the lead generator sends the form data, which includes the entered lead information and the reference key received from the verification server, to at least one interested party. When the verification server receives a request for the collected information from the interested party, the collected information is retrieved based on the reference key included in the request and sent to the requesting interested party.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 16, 2023Publication date: June 22, 2023Inventors: Steven M. Rafferty, Rickie N. Benavidez, Alexander K. Wolfe, Michael Shapiro

Patent number: 11175978Abstract: An error in content generated by a first electronic device can be detected by a second electronic device. The second electronic device receives, in one or more messages, first message content and second message content generated by integrated circuit logic within the first electronic device. The second electronic device compares the first message content with predetermined message content. Based on detecting a mismatch between the first message content and the predetermined message content, the second electronic device initiates error recovery for the one or more messages. Initiating error recovery can include, for example, logging an error in the integrated circuit logic, requesting for the first electronic device to regenerate the first message content and second message content, or initiating execution of a program that detects and corrects programming errors in the integrated circuit logic.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2019Date of Patent: November 16, 2021Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventor: Michael Shapiro

Publication number: 20180082337Abstract: The present disclosure provides revenue sharing reporting systems. In some instances, the revenue sharing may be split between multiple entities to allow for a payment distribution platform. The present system may also allow for the issuing of refunds, deductions, and other calculations to be performed. Such calculations are performed and, in some instances, split amongst various entities according to system defined parameters.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2017Publication date: March 22, 2018Inventor: Michael Shapiro

Publication number: 20170095990Abstract: The present invention concerns a gusseted flexible bag, a method of manufacturing the bag, and apparatus for manufacture of said bags, closure devices for such bags and method of sealing the bag. In one embodiment, the flexible bag of the present invention is formed from the tube of material having a front side and a rear side. A pair of laterally disposed opposing gusset folds are formed in the tube along its sides. Each of the folds has a longitudinal crease. The bag further has a rear side flap extending from the rear side of the bag across the width of the tube which is folded over onto and hot air sealed to the front side of the tube of material. The gussets each have a slit approximate a first end of the tube thereby forming a front side flap. A front side flap may also be manufactured, if desired, which is then folded over when the rear side flap is folded so that the front side flat rests under the rear side flap.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 9, 2016Publication date: April 6, 2017Inventor: Allen Michael Shapiro
