  • Publication number: 20230396892
Abstract: A camera array system featuring a plurality of camera clusters attached to a plurality of multi-prong stabilized mounting plates arranged in a split-rig configuration, with the mounting plates configured for mounting the camera clusters onto a moving vehicle.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 9, 2023
    Publication date: December 7, 2023
Inventors: Michael Shawn Lawler, Ian Sharples
  • Publication number: 20230156351
Abstract: A plurality of outward-facing cameras, arranged in nodal clusters surrounding and mounted to the top plate of a plate structure, with the plate structure having an elevated platform for an additional upward-facing camera. The nodal clusters and the configuration of clusters on the top plate enable overlaps in coverage between clusters and more informationally dense coverage within each cluster.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 30, 2022
    Publication date: May 18, 2023
Inventors: Michael Shawn Lawler, Ian Sharples

  • Patent number: 8811812
Abstract: A camera rig system is configured to film in several overlapping directions at once. The camera rig system has a front rig having a first plurality of cameras arranged to film in a first set of overlapping directions. A trigger box is electrically coupled to the front rig and configured to receive data from the first plurality of cameras. A rear rig having a second plurality of cameras is electrically coupled to the trigger box and arranged to film in a second set of overlapping directions. The first set of overlapping directions and the second set of overlapping directions are configured such that images taken from the first plurality of cameras and the second plurality of cameras can reflect background images around the camera rig system.
