Abstract: In various embodiments, the present invention relates generally to analysis of complex mixtures and, more specifically, to detection and quantitative determination of multiple proteins, protein modifications, and protein-nucleic acid interactions in those complex mixtures.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a brace installation instrument placement that is mounted to anchors secured in an animal subject. The installation instrument includes anchor extensions coupled to the anchors. The instrument is movable with respect to the anchors to position a brace in a position more proximate the anchors. The brace can be indexed for insertion at a predetermined orientation with respect to the installation instrument. Methods and techniques for using the installation instrument are also provided.

Abstract: A device for generating a scented mist of an atomized liquid fragrance oil includes an atomizer complex, a reservoir assembly, a drainage tube, and a vacuum tube. The atomizer complex can atomize the liquid fragrance oil into a scented mist and deliver the scented mist to air outside of the atomizer complex, where the liquid fragrance oil the fragrance oil that is not atomized into the scented mist delivered to the air outside of the atomizer complex includes collected oil that is collected and drained to a reservoir assembly. A drainage tube extends from a bottom area of the atomizer complex into the liquid fragrance oil. The device can filter the liquid fragrance oil in the reservoir assembly and the collected oil from the atomizer complex that drained down the drainage tube. The vacuum tube can suction the filtered liquid fragrance oil and the collected oil into the atomizer complex for atomization.

Abstract: A paint tray includes a body having a base portion and sidewalls forming a paint well. Each sidewall has an upper top portion. The upper top portions collectively define an upper rim of a mouth of the well. A barred shaped member is hingedly connected to the upper top portion of a first sidewall such that the barred shaped member pivots relative to the body between first and second positions. In the first position, the barred shaped member is disposed within and surrounded by an inner perimeter of the upper rim of the mouth of the paint well. In the second position, the barred shaped member extends away from the upper rim and neither extends over nor within the mouth of the paint well. The paint tray is fabricated out of a molded material, and preferably comprises molded plastic.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the identification of a stem cell-specific signature or signatures composed of protein and/or nucleic acid markers expressed by virtue of the position of a cell or cells in the time line of its/their development and the impact of the cells' environment on this signature as it relates to the cells' stem cell potential. The composition and combination of these signatures provides a means of identifying, manipulating and differentiating said adult stem cells and thus, their acquisition and utilization in research, diagnosis, and therapy of normal and pathological conditions.

Abstract: A drop cloth includes: a sheet of material having a length that is greater than its width; and a series of panels, each panel being connected to the sheet in series along the length of the sheet. The length may be substantially greater than the width. The panels are generally identical to one another and are equally spaced along the length of the sheet such that the spacing is sufficient for the sheet to be folded in-between adjacent panels such that the panes are stacked, the spacing between adjacent panels being about twice the thickness of each panel. The drop cloth can be used for protection against drips and spills when painting along a wall of a room.

Abstract: A method of mixing together liquids or liquid/solid combinations, and mixing apparatus/universal combine utilizing a vertical spinning container or vessel having a rib, or a cross rib in its bottom wall. The container is spun about a vertical axis with no wobbling component to the motion. Meshed elements are used for high shear mixing. Start/stop routines, and variable acceleration/speed values are used, to facilitate complete mixing. Use of ‘impeller’ blade stirrers is completely eliminated.

Abstract: A centrifuge having two arcuate slots to receive resilient, bendable mounting flanges that each carry a plurality of test tubes in side by side relation. The resilience of the mounting flanges enables them to flex and assume either the curvature of the slot, or a linear configuration enabling the flanges to be suspended in a flat condition, such as on a test rack. The arrays of test tubes is attached to the flanges via living hinges that enable the flexing to occur. The advantages are that simplified identification of individual test tubes, as well as reduced likelihood of intermixing of spillage are realized.
