  • Publication number: 20200268948
Abstract: Various forms of anti-clog suction tips apparatus are disclosed. An exemplary anti-clog suction tip apparatus includes a suction tip assembly having a suction tip with a suction opening at a first end thereof for removing debris through suction, a hose attachment portion for attaching the suction tip assembly to a suction source, and an ejection wire channel. The apparatus further includes an ejection wire assembly having an ejection wire extending within the channel and an ejection button integral with or connected to the ejection wire. Applying a force to the ejection button advances the ejection wire through the channel such that an end portion of the ejection wire enters the suction tip and dislodges debris clogging the suction tip. The ejection wire may include an enlarged end portion such as, for example a ball tip. One or more of the components of the apparatus may be single-use and disposable.

  • Patent number: 10740713
Abstract: A method and system for generating a work breakdown structure (WBS) model data. Design model data is received. The design model data is parsed to extract WBS metadata from the design model data. A WBS template corresponding to the design model data is determined. The WBS model data is generated using the determined WBS template and the extracted WBS metadata. The WBS model data includes data entries. Each data entry is associated with a respective work task.

  • Publication number: 20200065195
Abstract: An approach is provided for storing a snapshot of an execution image of a virtual machine (VM) instance. Based on VM, application, criticality, and change parameters, and based on a recommendation model trained on historical data about effects that changes caused by VM execution had on a capacity of a storage system that stores execution images of VM instances in first datastores, a tier is selected from multiple tiers of the storage system as the tier recommended for storing the snapshot. A datastore is selected for storing the snapshot so that the selected datastore is associated with the selected tier and selected from second datastores dedicated to storing only snapshots. The snapshot is created in the selected datastore and in the selected tier and unused space in a portion of the storage system for storing the first datastores is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20190147737
Abstract: Aspects provide a roadway management device having a processor configured to collect roadway attribute data associated with accidents within accident data and assign positive correlation values to roadway attributes that match the accident data. Aspects cluster subsets of the accidents that share common values of subset of the roadway attributes assigned positive correlation values; select a corrective action to obviate a one of the clustered roadway attributes; determine whether implementation of the selected corrective action has reduced occurrences of accidents matching common accident data of the clustered accidents on a relevant roadway; and increase a selection weighting value of the selected corrective action in response to determining that implementation has reduced accident occurrences. The selection weighting value is used to bias selection for implementation to obviate a roadway attributes with respect to other clustered accidents.

  • Publication number: 20180361391
Abstract: An under-sink disposal unit includes a motor, a disposal chamber, and a passageway that extends from an opening in a top of the disposal unit to a grinding area of the disposal chamber. The disposal unit further includes a coil assembly comprising an arrangement of coils. The arrangement of coils is used to detect the passing of a metallic object in the passageway toward the grinding area of the disposal unit. The arrangement of coils comprises four pairs of coils, wherein each pair of coils comprises a transmit coil and a receive coil. The four pair of coils are arranged around an axis of the passageway and are offset relative thereto. Transmit coils located along a common axis are wound in the same direction such that the magnetic fields generated thereby augment the filed for detecting metallic objects passing toward the grinding area.

Abstract: An under-sink disposal unit includes a motor, a disposal chamber, and a disposal throat. The disposal throat extends from the disposal chamber to an opening in a top of the disposal unit and defines a passageway through which objects pass into the disposal chamber for grinding. The disposal unit further includes a coil assembly including an arrangement of coils. The arrangement of coils is used to detect the passing of a metallic object in the passageway through the disposal throat. Furthermore, the arrangement of coils includes at least one coil having a loop that is oriented with respect to an axis of the passageway through the disposal throat such that objects passing through the disposal throat into the disposal chamber pass by and proximate to, but do not pass through, such loop. Preferably DC injection braking is used to stop the motor upon detection of a metallic object.

  • Patent number: 9852336
Abstract: In an approach to determining a relative position for each computer of a group of computers within a wireless network to a computer within the wireless network, a computer receives a set of digital image files from each computer and aggregates the set of digital image files into a panoramic digital image file. The computer generates a network map depicting a position of each of the computers based on the panoramic digital image file. The computer determines a relative position map for at least one computer based on the network map and the panoramic digital image file, wherein the relative position map provides a location of each computer of the group of computers with respect to the at least one computer. The computer receives input from the at least one computer, the input using the relative position map to send data to one or more of the group of computers.
