  • Publication number: 20060266747
Abstract: A bulk container comprises a one piece base, a cap and a peripheral side wall. The base includes a generally rectangular bottom wall, a plurality of longitudinal rails extending below the bottom wall, and a peripheral wall extending upwardly from the bottom wall. The peripheral wall defines an upwardly opening channel. The cap includes an inner wall connected to an outer wall defining a downwardly opening channel complimentary with the upwardly opening channel. The peripheral side wall is received in the upwardly opening channel and the downwardly opening channel to define a parallelepiped interior space.

  • Publication number: 20060138142
Abstract: A unitary closure is used with a tubular container having an open end with a cylindrical connecting bead at the open end. The unitary closure comprises a planar circular wall defining a flat upper surface having a peripheral edge. A first concentric ring is radially outwardly of the peripheral edge defining a first upwardly opening valley. A second concentric ring is radially outwardly of the first concentric ring at an annular peak and defines a second upwardly opening valley having a generally planar bottom wall. Inner and outer concentric ribs extend downwardly from the planar bottom wall. A connecting flange is radially outwardly of the second concentric ring including a downwardly opening channel receivable on the cylindrical connecting bead to close the open end of the container. The closure has a substantially greater wall thickness radially outwardly of the peak than radially inwardly of the peak.

  • Publication number: 20060138141
Abstract: A unitary cover is used with a tubular container having an open end with a cylindrical connecting bead at the open end. The unitary cover comprises a central circular wall of a size corresponding to the container open end. A concentric ring region surrounds the central circular wall and defines a peripheral flange having a downwardly opening channel receivable on the cylindrical connecting bead to close the open end of the container.

  • Publication number: 20060096985
Abstract: A lid is disclosed for use with a bulk container having an access opening. The lid comprises a top wall and a circular opening through the top wall, defining a bung opening. A cylindrical collar extends downwardly from the top wall surrounding the circular opening. The cylindrical collar has a threaded inner wall. A removable vented closure is threadably received in the cylindrical collar to selectively close the bung opening. A safety seal is secured to the top wall. The safety seal comprises a ring secure to the wall surrounding the circular opening, a vented cap inwardly of the ring operably covering the removable vented closure, and a frangible connector operatively connecting the cap to the ring.

  • Publication number: 20060097524
Abstract: A locking belt is used with a container having an annular end portion defining a top opening and a removable cover overlying the opening. The locking belt comprises a split circular ring, generally U-shaped in cross section, having first and second ends and including an outer circumferential wall. A through opening is in the outer circumferential wall proximate the fist end. An arm extends outwardly from the outer circumferential wall proximate the second end to define a notch opening away from the second end. A lever arm has a near end and a distal end. The lever arm comprises an arcuate handle having sides proximate the near end to be received in the split circular ring and includes a tongue connected between the sides and extending outwardly from the near end. A connecting strap is provided for integrally connecting the split circular ring second end and the lever arm. The ring, the connecting strap and the lever arm are of one piece plastic construction.

  • Patent number: 5123667
Abstract: A drum ring formed as a one-piece molded synthetic resin ring having an outer rim, an inner ledge radially inward therefrom and at least one appendage on the outer rim for placement of a mobility enhancer thereon. The ring can be installed on a typical material handling drum having a cylindrical side wall and bottom and top walls with an annular groove on the side wall adjacent each end wall. The ring is placed on the drum in such a way that the inner ledge of the ring fits inside an annular groove thereby securely attaching the ring to the drum.
