  • Publication number: 20240132267
Abstract: Hot-fillable plastic bottle including a finished portion, a body portion with at least one circumferential rib configured to resist radial distortion, and a base portion. The base portion comprises a base sidewall, a bottom support surface extending radially inward from the base sidewall and defining a reference plane, an inner support wall extending upwardly from the bottom support surface, and a diaphragm extending radially inward from the inner support wall. The diaphragm comprises an inner wall having an arcuate shape with a radius r1 and a central conical structure, where the diaphragm is in an initial as-formed position with the conical structure above the reference place. The diaphragm is configured to move from an initial as-formed position toward a second position when an internal pressure relative an external pressure exceeds a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20210347115
Abstract: In one aspect, the disclosure relates to a method of fabricating a three-dimensional object. The method includes transporting a first material, in a first state, the first material comprising a thermoplastic matrix and M reinforcing fibers, wherein the first material has a first cross-sectional profile; depositing, heating, and consolidating a segment of the first material such that it is placed in a second state having a second cross-sectional profile; and repeating the foregoing steps until a unitary composite object has been formed by M segments of the first material. In one embodiment, consolidation is performed to achieve a porosity of less than about 2%. In one embodiment, a ratio of volume of the reinforcing fibers to matrix first material ranges from about 0.5 to about 0.7.

  • Patent number: 10556326
Abstract: A clamp for a T-slotted structural element can be positioned anywhere along the T-slot. A housing and stop are opposingly attached to the structural member, and a horizontal shaft is engaged with the housing. A fixing pin is inserted through a vertical hole in the housing and attached to a slot key that is inserted in the T-slot. Actuating a lever or handle applies an upward force on the fixing pin, pressing the key against the top of the T-slot and fixing the housing in place. In embodiments, the stop can be repositioned to any of a plurality of locations along the T-slot. In certain embodiments, the stop and housing can be placed on different surfaces of the structural member. In various embodiments, the stop and/or housing are constructed with different slot profiles that match their respective T-slotted structural elements. In embodiments, the housing is rotatable.

  • Patent number: 10302249
Abstract: A strut channel clamp includes a block that can be positioned anywhere along the length of the strut channel. In embodiments, the stop can be repositioned to any of a plurality of locations along the channel. In certain embodiments, the stop and block can be placed on different surfaces of the strut channel. In some embodiments, a threaded shaft engaged with the block imparts force against the stop, and in some of these embodiments the shaft can be disengaged quickly from the block and repositioned longitudinally without rotation thereof. In various embodiments, the stop and/or block are constructed partly or entirely from common, off-the-shelf strut channel accessories. In embodiments, the block is rotatable.
