  • Publication number: 20100044491
Abstract: An applicator for applying a rolled material to a body includes a spindle configured to hold the rolled material. A length of the spindle is at least equivalent to the width of the rolled material. A handle is coupled to the spindle, and a brake mechanism is integral with the handle for controlling a tension of the rolled material as it is applied to the body. The rolled material may be pre-wound on a spool that rotates around the spindle. Actuation of the braking mechanism increases pressure on the rotating spool in order to increase tension on the rolled material. Alternatively, the spindle rotates in conjunction with a shaft within the handle. The braking mechanism applies pressure against the rotating shaft to increase tension in the elongated material. Pre-wound cartridges of rolled material may be successively loaded on to the applicator's spindle for repeated usage of the applicator.

  • Patent number: 7146929
Abstract: A pet bowl assembly which provides protection for the food from birds by means of a swinging cover and protection from crawling insects by means of a water channel surrounding the food bowl. A pet watering dish, which provides fresh drinking water from the water channel. The water dish is sufficiently sized to allow the pets lapping to clean the bowl during each use. A combination of the food bowl and watering dish which provides protection form birds, crawling insects and contaminated drinking water. Means are provided to allow for internal cleaning of the assembly, means for use in larger constructions, means for lifting the food from the ground and means for providing food and water for extended periods of time.

  • Patent number: 5394897
Abstract: A tent system interconnects any number of stand-alone tents (12) to form a tent network (10). The tents (12) are interconnected through connection modules (14). The tents (12) include at least two and preferably three openings (30) which serve as doorways. Various fasteners attach to the tents (12) near each opening (30). One fastener (54) removably couples to a complimentary fastener (34, 36) on the connection module. Another fastener (72) mates with a complimentary fastener (74) on a door panel (76), and yet another fastener (78) mates with a complimentary fastener (80) on a screen panel (82). The openings (30) are formed in tent panels (26) that slope downward and outward from the top of the tent (12). The connection modules (14) have flexible sheet material (32) sides (38, 40) with ends configured with a downward and inward slope that allows them to mate with the tent panels (26).
